Chapter 1 • “Small bet, big mistake”
Max groans as he stares at the “mystery meat” the staff call it, poking at it before looking up at Nikki with a smirk
“Ill bet 5 bucks I can’t eat all of this”
Nikki, the girl that thrills for excitement, nods and grins
It.. wasn’t as bad as Max expected
Richer.. meatier.. fresher..? Atleast it was more edible then the slop they served.
But then the Quartermaster walked past in a different hallway. Since their lunch table was close to the hall they were in, he couldn’t help but overhear..
“Nothing wrong with a few leftovers from the accident..”
Max’s spoon fell out of his hand.
“What the fuck did they just say..?”
And for the first time in his life, he was speechless.
