The evening sky was painted in hues of orange and purple as the town of Ravensbrook settled into quiet. Inside a modest office filled with paranormal paraphernalia—cameras, EVP recorders, and dusty books—Sarah leaned back in her chair, staring at her phone. The screen flickered as a new message blinked into view: "Please help us. Whitmore estate is haunted. People are in danger."
Her eyes narrowed. This wasn’t just another nuisance call; it was serious. The old Whitmore estate had long been a source of local legends—a crumbling mansion shrouded in darkness, whispered to be haunted by ghosts, trapped spirits, and worse. Over the years, it had become a magnet for thrill-seekers, skeptics, and paranormal investigators alike. But tonight’s message sounded different—urgent, desperate.
Sarah reached for her radio, calling out to her team. "Marcus, Lily, Jake—assemble now. We’ve got a new case."
Within minutes, her team arrived at her office, each carrying their gear. Marcus, a lanky tech whiz with a laptop slung over his shoulder; Lily, a calm and intuitive psychic, her eyes shimmering with quiet confidence; and Jake, the skeptical investigator who believed most things could be explained away with logic.
Sarah briefed them quickly. "We’re heading to Whitmore estate. Someone’s in danger, and whatever is there is serious. We need to document everything, stay safe, and find out what’s really happening."
As darkness settled outside, they loaded their equipment into Sarah’s truck and headed out. The estate loomed ahead—a shadowed silhouette against the night sky, windows boarded up, the air thick with foreboding.
