PROLOGUE: Beneath the Ashes
・゜゜・・゜゜・..・゜゜・・゜゜・..
Zaun doesn’t forget.
It may cover its ruins with soot, with shimmer, with the thick fog of its broken streets, but memory always finds a way to breathe.
Jinx knows that too.
It’s been six years since the night she vanished from the world, leaving behind only an echo between explosions and fire.A night no one in Piltover or Zaun forgot.A night that wasn’t just chaos... but creation.
From that night, Isha was born.
The result of a mistake. Or at least, that’s what Jinx thought at first.
The outcome of an erratic night with a man whose face never returned. Maybe out of love, maybe out of desire—or just a fleeting moment of need... a way to drown the pain in something stronger than a bomb.
And then: surprise. Rage. Fear.
But over time...a miracle.
Isha came with hair like spilled blue ink, cinnamon skin, and eyes wide as moons. But she didn’t cry at birth. Not a single word since.Mute.As if the world had already scared her before she could say anything.
And yet, she lived. She shone. She breathed Zaun like she belonged to it.
And deep down, Jinx loved her from the very first second she saw that tiny heart beating outside her chest.
But nothing is simple in Zaun.
Nothing lasts long without breaking.
In secret, through tunnels even the Firelights don’t know, Jinx raises Isha alone. She teaches her to paint, to climb, to hide. She builds her tiny colorful bombs and plush gear toys. She doesn’t speak to her with words, but with gestures, laughter, and looks.Isha understands. She always does.
And though Jinx never says it out loud... deep down, she fears.
Because there’s something in her daughter’s eyes thatisn’t hers.
Something that reminds her of someone she left behind.
Ekko.
The boy of time. The rebel with principles. The love that never was—could never be.
He doesn’t know about Isha.
And Jinx doesn’t know if she’ll ever be able to tell him.
.・゜゜・・゜゜・..・゜゜・・゜゜・..
Meanwhile, Ekko rebuilds his city with bare hands and memory. The Firelights are fewer, more tired. And their leader... harder.Hope weighs like lead when you’ve lost so much.
And still, he dreams.
Sometimes of his mother. Sometimes of a reborn Zaun.
But more often... of her.Jinx. Powder.
The girl he couldn’t save... or stop.
He doesn’t know she’s still alive. That she watches him from afar sometimes.
Or that a little girl sketches him in her notebooks without understanding why he looks so familiar.
.・゜゜・・゜゜・..・゜゜・・゜゜・..
Elsewhere in the undercity, Vander and Silco remain divided by wounds that still bleed. The former leads an underground community where he tries to protect the forgotten. The latter maintains his influence among shimmer traffickers, trying to control the chaos he helped create.
They cross paths, clash, repel each other.
And yet, time forces them to coexist—sometimes in silence, sometimes shouting.
Their story remains unwritten.
.・゜゜・・゜゜・..・゜゜・・゜゜・..
In the halls of Piltover, tension between morality and pragmatism grows.Jayce is no longer an idealist.Politics wears him down, angers him.Every decision feels like a betrayal of what he once believed.
And Viktor watches. Accompanies. But not without pain.
His illness progresses, and though he still works on his tech projects, he does so slower, more thoughtfully.
They remain connected by a bond that was never just scientific. Nor just affection.
It’s love.
A difficult one. Full of friction. But love.
Jayce wants to save Piltover from within.Viktor, from his lab.
And the world, as always, seems determined to break them.
.・゜゜・・゜゜・..・゜゜・・゜゜・..
Meanwhile, Vi works to uphold the law, while Caitlyn reminds her every day that she still has a heart. But her sister’s name—Jinx—remains a wall between them.Vi wants to find her. Understand her.Forgive, maybe.
But she doesn’t know how to do that without surrendering to her pride.
This story isn’t about heroes or villains.
It’s about what remains when everything breaks...
And what we do with the fragments.
And everything will begin, once again, with a girl who still doesn’t speak.
And a reunion no one expected.
