Summary

Raphael Marchand is an Alpha wolf seeking revenge on the Davereaux family for destroying his family. However, all his plans go awry when the poison he purchased turns out to be a love potion, causing Lucian Davereaux—the Alpha fox, young governor, and mafia boss—to fall for him instead. Since then, every attempt Raphael makes to kill him fails, which only makes Lucian clingier, leaving Raphael himself confused about whether he still wants revenge or is trapped in complicated feelings. Chapter 00 - Prologue

Happy Reading

Raphael's car sped across the long concrete suspension bridge. He was already far enough away from the center of Copenhagen. It was impossible for Lucian's men to catch up with him now. Raphael glanced at the rear-view mirror; no one was following him. He smiled triumphantly, which meant he had escaped.

Raphael breathed a sigh of relief.

"Hah, I told you this would work," said Raphael confidently.

“I should hurry back to Syrena and throw a party there—,” Brak!

Raphael's words were cut short when a car from the right side crashed into him hard. His body was almost thrown to the side, the steering wheel shaking in his hands, causing his vehicle to sway momentarily. It turned out that his arrogance did not last long. Raphael reflexively looked back, and sure enough, there were three cars chasing him, moving wildly and surrounding him from all directions.

"Damn!" hissed Raphael, his jaw clenching as he slammed his fist against the steering wheel. Raphael refocused on controlling the car and then pressed the accelerator pedal hard, hoping to get away from them.

"Stop!" shouted one of them from the car on the right.

However, Raphael ignored him. He continued to drive at high speed, hoping they couldn't catch up with him.

Unfortunately, it seemed that luck was not on his side tonight. Suddenly, a bullet hit the front tire. Bang! The tire exploded. This was followed by several more shots until all three tires were destroyed one by one.

Raphael gritted his teeth, his face filled with anger and panic.

"Damn bastard!" Raphael cursed as his car lost control and screeched against the asphalt.

However, Raphael managed to regain control of his car. When his gaze focused on the road ahead, he saw countless concrete barriers lined up neatly in front of him, leaving Raphael at a loss. "Oh shit... it's a trap." Without thinking, Raphael immediately slammed the steering wheel to the right, causing him to crash into the bridge wall, sending his car flying into the air, rolling wildly, and landing upside down with a strong impact.

The three cars came to a stop after completing their task and successfully neutralizing their target. "Boss, we’ve taken care of it," one of them said, calling Lucian. Then they laughed together, satisfied with the result.

Meanwhile, Raphael was barely conscious. His entire body was covered in blood, and his skin was scratched by shards of glass. Now, only the roar of the engine could be heard. Fuel dripped out and evaporated, forming thick smoke that stung the nose.

"It hurts," Raphael whispered softly. He opened his eyes, and his vision was still blurry. His body felt stiff, and every movement caused pain. Raphael began to look around. He was shocked when he saw his situation. Had he just fainted a few minutes ago?

Raphael tried to crawl out with the last of his strength. When half of his body had managed to emerge, he heard the faint sound of footsteps on the asphalt road. Raphael narrowed his eyes, looking to see who was coming. The shadow of a man stood right in front of him, tall and large. Raphael couldn't look up because his body still hurt. That person was Lucian.

"Who the akhh—" Raphael screamed as Lucian deliberately stepped on his fingers.

"It seems you really like meeting me, huh? But, unfortunately for you, today you lost badly, sweetie," Lucian replied softly but mockingly, flashing a mischievous smile.

Raphael, who heard this, was furious, breathing heavily, his fists clenched tightly. "Lucian, you bastard! I hate you so much. I will definitely get my revenge—" Once again, his words were cut off when Lucian grabbed his hair and pulled him back, tilting Raphael's head up.

His eyes locked with Lucian's, and he stared intently at the man.

Lucian smiled slightly, then leaned forward and began whispering in Raphael's ear. "Get back at me? Tch. Not today, dear, because I'm going to finish you off tonight." And just as Lucian was about to remove the black mask covering Raphael's face, suddenly the sound of police sirens blared, causing Lucian's men to scatter in panic, including Lucian himself.

Lucian clicked his tongue. "Bloody hell!"

The man turned to Raphael. "You may be free today, but before that, I'll give you a parting gift," Lucian said before leaving.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Lucian shot Raphael's body three times, as if seeking revenge.

Raphael failed three times to kill Lucian. After that night, Lucian and Raphael grew even closer. Their relationship was filled with obsession and revenge.
