World History
For thousands of years witches and sorcerers have plagued the world of Sprïnn. Then, suddenly, a day came when a bloodthirsty witch attacked a monastery in search of a powerful tome. After murdering all but one monk, her rampage was finally stopped. The single surviving monk plunged a cross into her chest, killing her and dyeing the cross red. From that day on the first Seraph was born, leader of The Order a branch in service to The Church of E'lad. In the following six centuries The Order of The Crimson Cross arose from the smoldering ruins of that dark time and gave hope to those who had dared to fight back under the oppression of this magical menace.
This new order of witch hunters undergo harrowing tests and challenges before they are ready to begin their training to return to the world outside of the ancient fortress of Dracül that raises and trains them. Taking orders from The High Seraph on his throne overlooking the city state of Farol, they wander across the world, spreading The Word of the Church as well as stopping any witches and magical disasters. The Hunters of The Order are both renowned and infamous, some bring hope while others bring fear and cruelty, but all leave destruction and death in their wake.
Many rumors are told of The Order having a dark secret as their last step before the end of their Trials of being named a Hunter. Whether they are true or not, only a Hunter of The Crimson Cross knows the truth of what they must endure during the Blood Trials...
A young duo, only a few years after they passed their Trials and were named Crimson Hunters, became famous inside The Order and out for slaying The Mad Witch of Drenn. A sadistic witch who had terrorized the lands of the Kingdom of Drenn and its capital city, Jenad.
Now, these two Hunters, having learned of a village in need, make their way to the beginning of a life altering adventure..
