Prologue

-Cairo, Egypt-

Sand stretched as far as the eye could see. Heat radiating off the brown grains making the ground feel hotter than the actual temperature. Two camels groaned as they carried their owners through the scorching hot Sahara Desert. The men on the camels sipped water from their thermos attempting to quench their thirst. Unbeknownst to the travelers and camels, a small pointy object was sticking out of the sands blending into its surroundings. Four other camels with their owners joined the small caravan. The men acknowledged each other and began speaking in their native tongue.

Yosef, we have been searching the Sahara for miles! There are no other pyramids this far north of the Giza Pyramids.”

“Naji, according to the ancient text from the scroll of Horus, the pyramid should be here.”

“We have been searching for ten days straight! There’s nothing here!”

“Hajeed, this scroll leads to a pyramid that could belong to Osiris and Isis! Think of what could be inside!”

Yosef’s camel tripped over the pointy object, causing it to lose its footing, and fall. Yosef flew off the camel and face-planted into the sand. He groaned, lifted his head, and spat the sand out of his mouth. Naji and Hajeed stopped their camels, got off, and helped Yosef stand. He went to his camel noticing a long gash on its front right leg. As the men were tending to the hurt camel, one of the other travelers searched for what the camel tripped over. He kicked the sand creating dust clouds as he kicked. When Shaheed’s right foot side swiped the stand…

“Ah!” Shaheed went down clutching his throbbing foot.

He looked at the sand and noticed a triangular point sticking out of it. After crawling his way to take a good look at the hard object, he began digging with his hands. The more Shaheed dug the more he realized what was slowing revealing itself.

“Na la! Na la!”

Yosef, Hajeed, and Naji ran to Shaheed to see what the excitement was about. Yosef saw the top of a pyramid slowly emerging from the sand.

“I told you it was here! I told you it was here!”

As the men continued to hand dig more of the top of the pyramid out, they didn’t know what they found. They will soon find out that what they just found should remain buried beneath the sands.
