Chapter 2 Crossing The Line

Chapter 2 – Crossing the Line

The campus courtyard was alive with chatter. Students lounged on benches, sunlight spilling across the stone paths, the air thick with the sound of laughter and shuffling feet.

But Leo wasn’t listening. His sharp eyes tracked only one figure—Professor Adrian Hale, walking briskly across the courtyard with a stack of papers tucked neatly against his chest. His navy-blue tie was loose today, a small concession to the heat, and the sight of it made Leo’s throat dry.

He looks too perfect. Too untouchable. And he still thinks I’ll back down?

Leo shoved his hands into his pockets and began following. His long strides closed the distance quickly.

“Professor,” he called out smoothly, his voice carrying above the din.

Adrian turned, startled, glasses catching the light. “Leo? Shouldn’t you be in class?”

Leo ignored the reprimand, stepping right into Adrian’s space. He didn’t care that people were around—students passing by, sitting nearby on benches, watching curiously. He wanted them to see. He wanted the whole world to know Adrian belonged to him.

“I was thinking about you,” Leo said bluntly, his eyes dark and unflinching.

Adrian froze. “Leo, we can’t—”

But before the professor could finish, Leo leaned down, his hand sliding firmly around Adrian’s waist, pulling him close. Gasps rippled from nearby students as Leo tilted his head and captured Adrian’s lips in a hungry kiss—slow, deliberate, claiming.

Adrian’s eyes went wide, his papers nearly slipping from his grasp. His heart thundered as every rational thought screamed at him to push the boy away. But Leo’s grip was strong, his mouth warm and demanding, and for one dizzying second, Adrian gave in.

When Leo finally pulled back, his mouth curved in a smug, dangerous smile. “Mm. Even sweeter than yesterday.”

Adrian’s cheeks burned crimson, both from shock and the stares prickling from every direction. He shoved against Leo’s chest, though his voice came out weak. “Leo! Stop this at once. People are watching!”

Leo only chuckled, his hand still firm at Adrian’s waist, thumb stroking possessively. “Good. Let them watch. Let them know you’re mine.”

“Yours?” Adrian echoed, appalled, his breath still ragged. “Leo, this is madness. I’m your professor.”

“And I’m your student,” Leo replied, his eyes glinting with dangerous amusement. “That just means I have more excuses to see you every day.”

Before Adrian could scold him further, Leo leaned in once more—pressing a softer, lingering kiss to the corner of his professor’s lips, just to prove he could.

The world around them blurred into whispers and muffled laughter, but Leo didn’t care. He released Adrian slowly, deliberately, then stepped back with a grin that promised he’d never stop.

Adrian’s knees felt weak, his lips tingling with betrayal and longing. He wanted to tell himself it was just the shock. That it didn’t mean anything.

But the truth was clear—he couldn’t stop thinking about Leo.
