Night Shift At North End Heights

Summary

It was the strangest tale she's ever heard in her whole career. Detective Sehny Tomlin travels abroad, being called on to solve cases that seem paranormal, but normally turn out not to be. North End Heights' new sheriff contacted her a week ago over an intriguing event that happened in this town ten years ago. Upon inspection, it was next to impossible not to notice a massive crater in the ground, tied off with faded police tape. There's nothing significant at first glance to explain what it could have been or what caused it. The new sheriff arrives and explains to her that where they were standing used to be the site of North End Heights Nursing Home, an old hospital turned into a resting place for the elderly, and ten years ago the whole establishment disappeared without a trace during a night shift on August 17th, 2007. Tomlin visits the site at night, when this place supposedly disappeared. After stumbling on a buried diary that looked like it was written by a worker from the vanished shift, everything takes a terrifying turn.

Author's Note

I need to point out a few things before you read this. North End Heights is a fictional place, made up inside my head. There is no such place in Georgia (I'm from there so I would know) and the events that take place in this book were inspired by where I used to work. It's an old hospital turned into a rehabilitation/rest home that I was a CNA at on 3rd shift.

Some crazy, weird and spooky stuff happened during my time there and I came up with the idea to write a story about a similar place because let's face it, old hospitals are just plain creepy and the perfect setting for a scary movie or paranormal stories. The characters in here are completely fictional as well and if they seem like they are based on actual people, I can assure you that they are not.

I hope you do enjoy this and may it keep you awake at night! Happy reading!
