My name is Genevieve Gwendolyn, and this is my story.

It was dinner time when I came downstairs, my mom was making chicken noodle soup with broccolis. My favorite! My mom works as an author and goes out a lot to meet her best friend AKA my aunt Julia Larson. Her daughter is called Biana Larson, she is my very best friend that I could never replace. We all live on the same street, so I see her almost everyday. Most days I just text her because I’m too lazy to walk down the street. My mom makes me bring cookies to her every Sunday.

I also have a little brother, he just turned 12 a few months ago. I’m two years older than him, he is always super energetic and fun but I’m already sick of it. Our parents were sadly divorced when I was born, I never knew why but my mom told me it’s just because he doesn’t support her job.

Anyways, dinner was great, I made my way up the stairs to the bathroom to brush my teeth before bed. I wore a Stitch themed sleeping jumpsuit and jumped onto my bed. It was full of pillows and soft stuffed animals. I took my phone from my desk and texted Bia(Biana) “hey, how are you?”. It wasn’t long till she texted back, “I’m better now that you texted, how about you?” “I’m great! My mom made me chicken noodle soup with broccoli!” I responded excitedly “Really!!? I had chicken noodle soup with carrots!” I may not see her, but I can tell she is laughing.

I sent my last text goodnight, and she texted the same. I put down my phone as my mom walked in, I snuggled up under my blanket as she gave me a goodnight kiss on my forehead. I drifted off to sleep, excited to see my best friend tomorrow. My eyes closed, I imagined many things, but it got interrupted by an alarm clock I set at 7 am.

I went downstairs fully dressed and my mom gave me the cookies to give to Bia. It was in a cute small box, decorated with a card and many colours. I went out and walked my way to her house, it was about 10 minutes later that i arrived. I knocked on the door exactly at 9.30 waiting for an answer. Bia answered the door and let me in, she is always excited for my mom’s cookies. Bri says that my mom’s cookies are the best. I don’t think so, I think the best ones are the cookies Bri made. We went upstairs to her room, her room is so nice and comfortable. I’m not saying that mine doesn’t, but hers just looks better. We played many things such as our new oppo 5 that just came out last year, the new oppo 6 is coming out at september 20th i think… but i doubt my mom is going to buy it for me since she said money is tight right now.

Bri’s mom was out to buy groceries and her dad was out for a business trip, so me and Bri are home alone. We got bored easily, the house was very quiet after Bri’s mom left. Me and Bri started looking for something to do, I noticed her mom’s room was slightly open. Usually, both my mom and her mom’s room is always closed and locked. But this time, her mom forgot to lock it. I notified Bri and asked her “ Hey, should we see what’s in your mom’s room?”

Bri seemed excited but also scared to get in trouble. “Are you sure we can?” “I’m not sure if we CAN… but I’m sure there is something in there we could do!” I replied with full positivity as we crept into the room. “Maybe this is a bad idea,” Bri said, with much guilt of trespassing. The door suddenly slammed shut, scaring both of us. “GAHH!” I said, squatting down with my head down.

Bri checked if the door was locked, usually the door would automatically lock by itself. But the lock was broken, I breathe a sigh of relief. Getting locked in a room was not one of the things in my bingo! I sat up and continued searching the room. Bri called me, she found a map to “Meetup,” it must have been the place my mom and Auntie meets up. When i look at the map, for some reason the rode said to go in the forest nearby?

Me and bri looked at each other confused, “huh??” i said, breaking the thick silence, looking at the map. Me and bri looked at each other again but this time, we looked at each other with smiles on our faces. “You think what I’m thinking?” “You know I am!” I replied, running upstairs with the map while she followed. We both packed our stuff and thing we needed such as flashlights, snacks, water and more. “You got everything?” she asked “Yup, we just need the key of your house, just incase you know!” “Yeah that’s downstairs” we closed all the windows and put up the curtains, closed the doors and turn off the AC. I borrowed her hoodie and we went out and followed way of the map. We followed the map into the forest, we heard a bunch of creature around there. We even heard the sound of a man screaming! But i think i imagined that. We kept following the path and it led to a dark, giant building. It towered over us like it was about to swallow us whole. It looked like an abandoned place, more like a hospital. It was quiet that evening, this could be a life changing event.

And to that, we went in. The door was hard to budge, it was rusty and old. How could anyone come here? Footsteps louder than the honks outside. The floor dirty and slippery like it was never cleaned, water droplets fall from the holes of the ceiling. The inside was huge, top to bottom, left and right. We were greeted by a counter that has something dark, it was an founding plaque. But it was super dusty, making it too hard to read. Bri then said “Lets find something we can wipe the dust off,” “yeah, I agree,”. “Lets split up, it will be faster to find” i said with eyes full of hope. There were three corridors, i took the third one to the right. We looked at each other one more time, and went our separate ways.

I stepped carefully through the halls there were many rooms with a glass panel next to them saying do not lean. It makes sense that there was a bunch of rooms but it’s weird that there were glass, maybe its just a unique hospital. Or maybe I just go to a hospital that is unique itself. The amount of rooms in here was insane, each door have a number on it and a name. It was weird since isn’t hospitals supposed to treat everyone? Anyways, one of the rooms read “ex. 8345, Percy Hurd” I wonder what ex mean. Then i remembered i have to find something to wipe with. I saw something that looks like a cloth on the shelf of the hall way, i got excited and ran.

CRASH!

I fell hard on the floor, my butt hurts a lot but im fine. As i was about to stand up, there was a sudden clack on the left. I felt like it was from the room beside me, so i speed closer trying to see what is inside… then something tried to attack me, the glass prevented it from touching me. It was from the room beside me, it had a black small figure. I couldn’t see what it looked like, but i still screamed in terror. Bri found me crawling backwards from the glass to the wall behind me. “Are you OK!?” Bri said “I guess, but im a little rattled, did you see that?” “Kinda..” Bri answered “But I’ve seen more like it” she continued “I got a cloth, are you ready to head back?” “I think so” i said, still terrified from a few moments ago. “

We walked back to the counter. She wiped the plaque with the cloth and we discovered what is in it. It was a founder plaque with our mothers name on it, we looked at each other and back at the plaque. Our faces in pure shock. It says right there “The founders of Playtime monsters, Julia Larson and Florencia Gwyedolyn” I asked Bri, “Hey, did you…know about this?” “no! I swear!”she snapped back “Okay chill!!” I knew i could trust her, “do you want to explore together?” she asked “as long as we stick together!”

We walked down the middle corridor, our hand gripped tightly so one could not get lost. We looked in the windows, in the first one there was a little girl in the corner of the room. We couldn’t see her face properly, the second room has a giant monster with red liquid all over it. It must be some mutant. The third one was weirder when we looked in, i saw glimpse of myself and bri. It was like we were inside, but thats not possible since we are out in the hallway. The creature looked at us as if we were the reflection. There was a sudden rapid footsteps down the halls, we couldn’t do anything until they were her. Before we knew it, they were behind us, i felt a sharp pain on my neck like a needle and i started to lose consciousness. The last thing i saw was the floor then it went black.
