Stargazing
I lie down and close my eyes a bit,
And find myself beside you where you sit.
We hold our breath as the night grows still.
“Oh, how beautiful the night can be,”
All we had to do was look up and see—
The stars above, shining for you and me
A telescope was never a need,
Just curious eyes and hearts set free.
From the grass below, we found delight,
The sky unfolded its endless night.
That was once a magical time,
Simple moments that felt so fine.
A childhood memory, safe and deep,
A treasure my heart will always keep.
