How I Ate Your Mother

I am Joe,

I am a young African lizard. Life for me has been very difficult since my birth. I don’t even remember precisely, but my family gave up on me too soon and I was raised by a local community far away from my birth place.

A yellow colored lizard, I am not too pretty or desirable in my tribe. Just an average one, but it doesn’t matter as long as I get proper food to eat.

I don’t care about my love life or something like that.

I moved from my Village area to this huge city called Mexchia recently.

I stay with two of my friends Huana and Paey. We live together in a small corner of a house.

A huge house I can say. Very spacious, very beautiful and hardly anyone stays here all day. We do have neighbors of our own, they have occupied different floors and different corners. Although I do wish to move to a larger space some day, As long as I have my friends with me I am all good.

So it’s mostly the three of us roaming around freely , searching for food, attending the daily meetings with other members of our community and discussing about our future plans.

For us, our future plans doesn’t include building a space ship or earning millions. It’s just to make sure we survive in all conditions and remain healthy.

For that food, water and shelter is our basic need.

But one evening everything changed for me. I never thought my own dear love who was so special to me would come between me and my dinner.
