The beginning

The doorm rooms were quiet only for the ocassional snore. The room’s lights were dim and the temperature was cold. Nam-gyu was cuddled in his blanket, holding Thanos’ jacket after he persuaded him to take it.

“Come on Nam-su! Just take it! Why you being so stubborn boy?” Thanos asked.

Nam-gyu didn’t know if he was joking or being serious. Nam-gyu didn’t think to correct him about his name as Thanos started to get agitated, shoving his jacket toward him. Nam-gyu, out of pressure, took the jacket. Feeling the soft green cloth between his fingers and found comfort of the familiar scent of his friend.

His eyes stared at the jacket, concentrated with thought as his fingers traced the blue patch with a circle. The more he stared at it the more he thought ‘is this really what I want?’ Suddenly the speakers connected at once and played that familiar tune of classical music, too out of pocket for a place like this.

He didn’t say anything, just got up and walked over to the bed next to him and crouched down. There, Thanos layed peacefully, seemingly happy. It was rather sad that it seemed his dreams were the only place he could feel happy. Nam-gyu admired the way the curve of his lips contorted into a slight smile. That didn’t last for long as the games were soon starting. Nam-gyu rested his hand on Thanos’ arm and shook him slightly.

“Thanos get up. Its time for the games. Come on, remember? Circle?” Nam-gyu whispered and held out his arm, Thanos’ jacket in hand.

“ Here is your jacket friend.” He said with a smile shoving it gently on his chest.

Thanos groaned as he sat up. Finally his eyes opened to meet Nam-gyu’s soft expression.

“Thanks Nam-su boy.” He said grabbing the jacket. “Come on lets go!” He jumped out of bed, skipping down the steps, shoes squeaking across the floor.

“Team Circle! Lets do this!” He cheered, seemingly too happy to care about the previous events.

Nam-gyu stared in confusion at his friend. ‘Why is he so happy for a game with such a risk?’ He thought before brushing it off and getting up, following his friend. A giggle plastered on his face and giggling as he chased him.
