Inmitten einer traumhaften Landschaft lebt Jenny Marley die Leiterin einer Ranch zusammen mit ihren Freunden. Doch dass sie dabei noch so manch unverhoffte Ereignisse erleben darf, hätte sie nie gedacht. Bei einem Waldausritt kommt ihnen ein schwarzer Hengst entgegen, der besitzlos erscheint und dann treffen sie auf ein wundersames Einhorn. Es deutet alles darauf hin, dass der schwarze Hengst eine Verbindung zu dem Einhorn hat. So kommt auch noch eine Turnierteilnahme hinzu. Doch nicht nur das Turnier läuft ganz normal ab. Als sie darauf am See landen, erwartet sie etwas Unerfreuliches. Das Einhorn liegt bewegungslos auf dem Boden und Jenny und ihre Freunde können sich das nicht erklären.
