Chapter 1: "When heat turned into cold"
Hydie sat in her room, listening to stories about demons.
She was reading when a knock sounded at the door.
knock knock
Hydie: “Someone open the door — there's a knock.”
Hailey (Hydie's sister): “Okay, wait. I'll go — you wouldn't manage.”
(Hailey went to the door.)
door opens
A strange woman stood in the doorway, dressed in odd clothes.
Hailey: “Hello! You… who are you?”
Strange woman: “I'm Maria, a friend of your mother. Actually, your mother asked me to come… may I come in? ”Hailey: “Yes… alright, please come in.”
(Maria stepped into the house.)
Suddenly the room grew cold, even though it was the middle of summer.
Hailey: “Please sit on the couch; I'll bring you some water.”
(Maria sat down on the couch.)
Maria: “Wait… I don't want water.”
Hailey: “Would you like something else?”
Maria: “No, I don't want water.” (She stood and moved close to Hailey.) “I only want a little of your blood.”
(Maria giggled.)
Suddenly Hydie heard a cracking noise outside.
Hydie: “Umm Hailey, is everything okay? Who's outside?”(Silence.)
Hydie: “Oh… I should go check what's going on outside.”
(She went to the doorway.)
She froze — Hailey lay collapsed on the floor and Maria stood over her.
Hydie: (shocked, in a small voice) “Who are you, and what have you done to my sister?” episode 1 ended. by hijab
