What is your opinion?

not what i expected

"when i read the synopsis for this book i didn't think it was my speed - not because it was bad, but because it wasn't what i usually go for. i'm so outrageously glad i read it anyway. i've readan atrocious amount of novels, ones i've really enjoyed, but very few actually stick in my mind. this is one of them that will stick with me for a long time. this is the first review i've ever written, and this book absolutely deserves it. the mental imagery of logan's house transitioning between brooding lair to wonder-filled sanctuary to hollow shell to true home was so visceral. i thought, probably around the middle of the book, that it was surely going to make me cry at some point. by around chapter twenty i had accepted that this book, with all it's emotion, wasn't a tear jerker. and then i hit the last two chapters and cried - more like the last two chapters hit me, honestly. this book was gorgeous, from start to finish. the chapters were so long i kept forgetting this wasn't a 60+ chapter marathon novel. it wasn't ever dull, though. every chapter was heavy, you could feel everything so tangibly. for a sub-thirty chapter book, it took me three days to finish because i had to literally tear myself away. amazing. this was amazing.
