A damaged heart
Life can sometimes damage your heart. It can burn you like a fire from the deepest parts of hell, and it can be as dark as the darkness found in the Mariana Trench. However, even in the deepest parts of the ocean, there is always a glimmer of light. But how do you find that light? I’m not quite sure how to answer that. I do know that sometimes, light can be so bright that it burns out. Even light amidst overwhelming darkness can hurt more than the darkness itself.
The darkness can consume you and tear you to pieces, but light can also capture your attention and lead you back into the depths of darkness, leaving you feeling lost. Yes, it hurts—sometimes it hurts really badly. But remember, you will always be able to find that light again, even if you don’t believe you will. I know this because I have felt the same way.
I didn’t have the best life growing up, and I’m still trying to adapt to a stable environment. Sometimes, I doubt I’ll ever get there. But that’s just the darkness speaking. Even when someone is surrounded by complete darkness, they can still find the good in things. Sometimes, they might even see good in things that aren’t really there.
So yes, life can damage your heart. But you just have to keep moving forward, no matter how difficult things get.
