Prologue

Starfire slowly crept through the streets of Kaon, their home planet’s Decepticon capital. Her team of six followed behind her just as quietly. She held her servo up, and the team stopped dead in their tracks. She heard something and peered around the corner to see two Decepticon vehicon drones standing guard at the entrance of the door. Their mission was to rescue two Autobots being held captive by the second in command of Megatron, Starscream. He was known for using sadistic means to obtain information from the unlucky souls who were at his mercy. The only way inside was to annihilate the two drones standing in their way. She held up two digits and pointed forward. Her strongest two on her team, Jetlag and Rouge. Both mechs rushed ahead and made short work of the two Decepticons. When the coast was clear, the rest of the team moved forward inside. The building known as Darkmount was too large to stay together, so they split up into teams of two. Starfire and a relatively new scout to the force, Deadlock, moved forward. She didn’t agree that this mech was ready for the war, but it was all servos on deck, and they needed all the Autobots they could get to ensure the war wouldn’t be lost. After a few hours of searching, they could hear Starscream down the hall. Starfire peered around the corner to see that he was leaving a room with three drones, fresh spilt energon covered his chest plate. When they disappeared from view, Starfire tried to contact the rest of her team for a status report, but she was met with static. The Decepticons most likely had a com link blocker in place.

“Let’s go, we need to find a way to locate the remainder of our team.”

Before they moved forward, other Decepticons began to rush down the hall, and she knew it meant her team was in trouble. She had to act quickly, looking back to her partner, she nodded, waiting for him to acknowledge. They both ran out, she readied her battle sword, slicing through a few cons who decided to stop and fight. It took a moment, but she and Deadlock neutralized them.

“Come on, we have to hurry.”

They both ran down the endless halls trying to find their team, what the faced made Starfire’s chest tighten. Her team lay on the floor, dead. Standing in front of them was the ruler of the Decepticons, Megatron. His second in command was by his side as usual.

“More intruders,” Megatron smirked.

Starfire’s emotions were clear as day as she clenched her dentas at the scene, “Megatron.”

He turned to face her. “I apologize for the mess. I was not expecting a femme presence in the mix.”

He still wore a smug expression, and this made her energon boil even more. She turned to Deadlock, who looked like he was ready to run with fear. Who could blame him? Standing in front of the warlord would make most Autobots flee.

“Warn the others.”

He hesitated but nodded and ran. Starfire faced Megatron, who still hadn’t made a stand against her.

“You will pay for slaughtering my team.” She shot at him, hitting him in the shoulder.

As she ran at him, his true size was intimidating; she barely reached his chest in height, before she could land another blow on him, he backhanded her with such force that it sent her flying into the wall. She coughed heavily, trying to catch her breath. A few drops of energon fell to the floor. Her vision was hazy, how could such a simple hit cause so havoc on her body? She looked up to see Megatron standing over her.

“You should have stayed with your team or even followed your partner to safety.” He pointed his cannon at her face.

She struggled to keep her optics online, and with one last effort to stay alive, she backed away from him. The wall behind her made putting any distance between the two impossible; the last thing she saw before she fell into emergency stasis was Megatron lowering his canon. Too bad she would have preferred Death.

Starfire’s optics slowly flickered back online. Her vision was hazy for a moment before she started to process her situation; she must have passed out from the last interrogation. She thought she had died, but when she wasn’t met with a white light, she realized she wasn’t one with the Allspark. She wondered how long this would go on. She had been here for a couple of months now every couple of days, they would try to pry information from her and fail. Starfire’s arms were suspended above her in statis chains; she hung off the ground roughly one or two feet, just barely able to scrape the floor. She surveyed her surroundings, looking for any leverage she could use. The room was empty besides a few empty energon containers in the corner. She tried pulling herself up, attempting to kick the top of the chains and break free. First try almost had it; second try, she just barely touched the chains with her foot. She sucked in a deep breath, getting ready to swing herself up once again, mid swing her body was sent through waves of pain as she was electrocuted. The waves almost caused her optics to go offline for a brief moment, she screamed out. Breathing heavily, she shook her helm trying to clear her mind from the fog. Starfire watched hopelessly as the door opened in front of her. She expected drones, or even Starscream, but no, she couldn’t get that lucky; instead, it was the Decepticon tyrant himself. Megatron stepped inside the room, allowing the door to close behind him.

“Whatever information you want, you can forget it. I won’t tell you anything!” She snarled.

He chuckled, his red optics seemed to glow in the dimly lit room, causing even more intimidating factor to him.

“You misunderstand my purpose for keeping you alive, femme.” He started walking around her slowly.

Starfire struggled to follow his movements, unable to crane her head back to see him standing behind her. She shivered in disgust as a single digit trailed down her back.

“Don’t touch me, you slagger!” She bit out.

“There’s a reason we have no femmes left on the Nemesis. It’s been a long time since one has been at my disposal. Let alone an Autobot.”

He walked back in front of her, facing her only a half a foot away and definitely way too close for comfort. The way his optics looked her up and down made her stomach turn.

“Get fragged, Megatron.”

He made a disgusted expression, mocking her. “Such foul language for a femme.”

She couldn’t care less, she only wanted to put miles between them, to get away from this monster as quickly as possible. Starfire watched him closely, trying to read his next move, but he was emotionless, impossible to read.

“I couldn’t care less how you feel about my language, the amount of senseless death, the damages you caused to our home. You’re a waste of metal and should be classified as the lowest of the-”

Megatron cut her off, grabbing her neck, squeezing tightly, cutting her airway. She squirmed, trying to break free. He slowly eased his grip but didn’t release her. She struggled to breathe before lips smashed into hers. Her stomach turned, and she felt as if she would vomit. When his tongue forced past her teeth, she bit down harshly, causing him to yank back, releasing her as he touched his lips to see energon on the tips of his digits. She expected anger from Megatron, but what she got instead scared her more; he smiled.

“Very well. If you want to play rough, so be it.”

Half-Claimed

Bargara4670: Half-Claimed was easy to read with a well-thought-out plot that kept me interested throughout. Many of these revenge stories seem to have the abused heroine turning into a vicious harpy who I end up disliking as much as her abusers. I like to feel empathy with the main characters, and I found that I...
