Inner Voice's Return Letter
Dear Lyn,
Even though I quit, I never really left. I just wanted to let you know that you are perfect just the way you are. You're not alone or a burden.. you have so many people who love you no matter what. You're an amazingly creative person, and you deserve every bit of happiness that comes your way.
I know that even after writing this, you don't feel like you're enough; that you don't get to be happy. That has to be one of the biggest lies you've ever told yourself. Just because you don't see your worth, it doesn't mean that you don't have any.
No more self deprecation. No more self hate. No more replaying the past over and over again. No more criticizing every single part of you just because you think that it's not perfect.
You are wonderful. You are worthy of love and everything that's good. You are loved so much more than you'll ever know. You are powerful. You are talented. You are strong. You are brave. You are beautiful. Don't ever change, because you are exactly who you were meant to be.
From now on only listen to the people who love you, and stop listening to the hateful things you tell yourself.
I know it'll take time to start believing it, so I'll say it again: You are not worthless; you do deserve love, warmth, happiness, and everything else that's good in your life.
