Chapter 1: The Overgrown Garden
Lily felt like her mind was tangled and wild—overrun with worries, fears, and doubts. Every morning, she woke up feeling exhausted before the day even began. Her thoughts fluttered like leaves in a storm, impossible to catch or organize. She carried a heavy backpack of unspoken feelings, and it weighed down her spirit.
One day, as she wandered through her neighborhood park, she noticed a small, hidden gate she had never seen before. Curious, she pushed it open and stepped inside. What she saw took her by surprise: an old, neglected garden, tangled with weeds and overgrown plants, abandoned and wild. It looked like a place forgotten, much like how she sometimes felt inside—chaotic, unmanaged, and in need of care.
Standing quietly nearby was an elderly gardener, tending to a tiny patch of flowers. He looked up and saw Lily staring. With a gentle smile, he said, “Sometimes, the gardens we see outside reflect the gardens within us. Both need tending and patience to grow beautiful again.”
Lily looked at the overgrown garden and then at herself. For the first time, she wondered if her mind could be like this garden—wild now, but capable of bloom if given care. As she left the park that day, a small seed of hope was planted in her heart—maybe, just maybe, her inner world could be restored.
