Chapter 1
She stole a glance at Mike from afar, and her cheeks burned hot. She couldn’t help but fan her cheeks not minding how awkward it seemed to do so.
“Oh my goodness! Mike...Mike just waved at me!” She whispered, then screamed in excitement, even though it wasn’t the first time he’d waved at her.
Ella has had a crush on Mike for months now, and she was one of those girls that would go and meet the mountain if it didn’t come to her.
Her confidence is topnotch, and many people like her for that.
But all this confidence reduces whenever he’s watching her, waves at her or other times when they are working on a project together.
She struggled to find what’s wrong with her. At first, it felt foreign. But then she realised, it’s Love’s doing.
It makes her nervous around him, to the extent that the always composed Ella with 100% steeze, seems to always behave like an idiot whenever she’s near Mike.
Her brain went mushy at his smile, and she sometimes stutters to get her name right.
“One day,” She muttered pumping a fist in the air, “I’ll have the confidence to walk up to him.”
“And then that day, I’ll say to him. I love you M...” She was cut off when she felt a presence behind her.
Even without seeing the person’s face, she could tell who it was.
That sweet fragrance was a giveaway, and another is the way her heart was beating hysterically in her chest.
“M Mi Mike?” She pried his hands off her face. Trying to adjust to the light after a few minutes of darkness.
She avoided looking at his face, because right now, the butterflies had returned.
“Did he hear ’I love you M?” She panicked.
“Does he know i was about to mention his name? How would he react?” She thought of all of this, while wiping her sweating palms on her gown.
For a second, he watched her closely trying to understand what she was talking about.
“You were so lost in thought, Ella. Who are you walking up to? I didn’t expect you to be a coward. The Ella I know is not a coward, she makes sure to go after what she wants.
Go after that guy girl. I’m at your back, as long as he’s a great guy. Chase him until he surrenders.”
Ella’s smile widened, relaxed at his words. He didn’t know that he just gave her the go ahead to chase him.
She finally had the courage to look him in the eyes, and she struggled with her brain to understand how a guy could get more handsome just within 6 hours.
She still saw him that morning.
“Do you remember what I said?” He asked.
She blinked, trying to remember what he said to her. But she could only remember some parts, “go after the one you love...”
“Uh..Hmm.. yes, you said...to go after hmmm...”
“Save yourself the stress, Ella. I can see you’ve fallen in love, when I see the guy who’s got you completely smitten, I’ll say kudos to him.” Mike said, unaware of her thoughts.
She subconsciously answered, “Say kudos to yourself then!” Before subtly changing it. “I mean kudos to you for advising me.” She corrected, heart racing as she ran away.
