Chapter 1
I woke up again from the same nightmares. I have been having from a week.My body was drenched in sweat and I could feel my heart racing.My uneven breathing must have woken up my roommate since she asked,what was wrong.
I forced a weak smile and replied,"you know kaelen... my usual nightmares." She raised a brow"your usual ones? Or maybe something new-something interesting?" "nah the same ones nothing's interesting. It's always the falling part that wakes me up",i replied.
She said "lyra, lets go to sleep. We will be tired during the hike we planned for today." I thought to myself-the hike which?...oh wait,the hike to the mountain. How could I forget that?
"Hey lyra; what are you thinking?Are you on it or not?" Kaelen asked. "Yeah I'm in Just a little packing left" I replied. "Then go pack. We can't miss it. We've been planning this for weeks."
I playfully stood up and while bowing said,"Okay miss kaelen,I will. Dont worry we wont miss the fun." She chuckled and said,"so you better start now"
We both started laughting. Kaelen was my roommate, always there for me when i needed her. She was like the older sister i never had.
We chatted while packing and headed for our destination along with our 3 other friends. We went to explore the mountains where we came across a old monument. We all got curious so we headed inside. As soon as we went inside the door behind us slammed shut.
