Love this so far!
"The first chapter hooked me. Had to leave a review so that I don't forget to read it. Will leave a detailed review once I read all 12 chapter. (Updated Review) I feel like we haven't even scratched the surface with this story. Honestly think it's got so much potential and the fact that I don't even know what's coming next has me on the edge of my seat. The arc clarity, character logic, emotional tone control, and pacing indicate someone with a very strong instinct for narrative architecture. The pacing is a bit slower than most dark fantasies, but I'm sure it's intentional. My favorite is the town of Hale and it's perfect eerie performance at normalcy, the author has captured it in an elegant but deeply unsettling way. The protagonists seem deep and well crafted. Worldbuilding without ever pausing the narrative to world-build, that is honestly my highlight of this book. Can't wait for what's waiting for Damen and what Ayris finds at the Wildes Motel. Will be following closely. "

"I've read the first 5 chapters only. This story surprised me in the best way. Even though we have yet to delve deeper into the supernatural, I can tell it’s not a typical supernatural read — it’s deeper, rawer, and written with an emotional intelligence that hits hard. Ayris feels so real, flawed and brave in ways that hurt to watch. The world-building is subtle but powerful, and every chapter builds tension like a heartbeat. This story owns atmosphere. Every chapter feels alive with tension, mystery, and emotion. The author builds a world that feels grounded yet touched by myth, and I’m completely hooked on how Ayris and Damen’s paths will collide. "

"Very suspenseful! Plot keeps you guessing. The beginning chapter about Damen feels almost like it is a completely different story than the one about Ayris. I think that may be intentional because the intro describes two worlds colliding. I still can't figure that part out yet. I definitely want to find out what's going on with the main character, but it's taking some time to get movement on that part of the plot. Very well written descriptive and poetic language, but a hell of a lot of it. Can distract from the plot a bit. Still keeps me coming back, though! I really want to know how and where Damen and Ayris collide!"

"I’ve only read the first 6 chapters. You’ve got an emotion beat going, the tension is present, the characters are carrying weight, which is good. Ayris and Damen each carry personal trauma that feeds the plot naturally instead of dumping backstory. The Vigilum, Valak Pact, and Fenmoor hierarchy hint at a larger mythology that feels ancient and dangerous. Excellent breadcrumb pacing."
