An intriguing and engaging journey!

"This is the first story I started reading when I joined Inkitt, and one that has kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. My interest was immediately piqued by the premise, flipping the script on a conventional motif in an intriguing way. The author did not disappoint, with her take on perceived goodness vs. evil and what it means to be a rebel and an outcast, and the tug of war between desire and purpose, from two distinct perspectives painted in a rich spectrum of tones between the light and dark extremes. I left out the word "gray" on purpose, because this story is anything but. While it may focus on morally gray themes, the world and its characters are vividly described and and authentically human in their rendering. The author is skilled at building tension and balancing action with internal conflict and constructing the story in a way that always left me wanting to find out what was going to happen next. It's a beautiful and immersive piece of worldbuilding told in a compelling storytelling style with poetic language. If you're someone who appreciates nuance and looking for something that will surprise you and keep you on your toes, I can't recommend this story enough. I'm very much looking forward to whatever comes next!"
