[MUSIC FADES]

SCENE 1: THE JOURNEY TO SEOUL

NARRATOR: One month ago, a photo changed everything. A distant relative of the Kim family had shown them a picture - a young man from Seoul with doe eyes and a sweet smile. His name was Jeon Jungkook.

When they asked Taehyung what he thought, the twenty-eight-year-old village man simply smiled and said, “Whatever my family decides, I will accept.”

That was Taehyung. Simple. Kind. A man who trusted his family with his whole heart.

And now, here they were - the entire Kim family, dressed in their best clothes, traveling from their small village to the big, busy city of Seoul.

[SOUND EFFECT: Train/car sounds]

NARRATOR: Taehyung sat quietly by the window, watching the fields turn into buildings. His mother kept fixing his collar. His father kept clearing his throat, nervous and excited. His younger sister couldn’t stop giggling.

MRS. KIM: (fussing) “Taehyung-ah, sit up straight! Don’t slouch. And smile, okay? Smile!”

TAEHYUNG: (warm, calm voice) “Eomma, I’m sitting straight. And I’m smiling.”

SISTER: (teasing) “Oppa, are you nervous? Your ears are red!”

TAEHYUNG: (shy chuckle) “It’s just hot in here.”

NARRATOR: But his sister was right. Deep down, Taehyung’s heart was beating a little faster. He had seen Jungkook’s photo. Those eyes. That soft smile. Something about that picture made his chest feel warm.

SCENE 2: ARRIVING AT THE JEON HOUSE

[SOUND EFFECT: Doorbell ringing, door opening]

NARRATOR: The Jeon family home was beautiful - modern, clean, and welcoming. Mrs. Jeon opened the door with the brightest smile, and suddenly the nervousness melted away just a little.

MRS. JEON: (warm, excited) “Welcome, welcome! Please come in! We’re so happy you’re here!”

MR. KIM: (respectful) “Thank you for inviting us. Your home is lovely.”

NARRATOR: As the families settled in the living room, tea was served, snacks were passed around, and the parents began talking - about their families, their lives, their hopes. It was comfortable. Easy. Like old friends meeting again.

But Taehyung? His eyes kept drifting toward the hallway.

Where was Jungkook?

[SOUND EFFECT: Soft footsteps]

NARRATOR: And then... he appeared.

Jeon Jungkook stepped into the room, and Taehyung forgot how to breathe for a second.

The photo didn’t do him justice. Not even close.

Jungkook was beautiful. His black hair fell softly over his forehead. He wore a simple white shirt and dark pants, but somehow he looked like he belonged in a painting. His eyes were shy, looking down at first, but when he glanced up and met Taehyung’s gaze...

TAEHYUNG: (thinking, soft voice) “Oh.”

NARRATOR: Jungkook’s cheeks turned the softest shade of pink.

MRS. JEON: (gently) “Jungkook-ah, come sit. Say hello.”

JUNGKOOK: (quiet, polite) “Hello... Welcome to our home.”

NARRATOR: His voice was soft, a little shaky. Taehyung found it... adorable.

SCENE 3: THE FAMILY TALK

NARRATOR: The parents continued talking, sharing stories about Taehyung and Jungkook - embarrassing childhood moments, their habits, their dreams. Taehyung’s mother bragged about how hardworking her son was. Jungkook’s father mentioned how responsible and kind Jungkook had always been.

MRS. KIM: (proudly) “Taehyung helps on the farm every day. He’s patient, never complains. And he loves cooking! He makes the best kimchi jjigae in our village.”

MRS. JEON: (delighted) “Really? Jungkook loves to eat! He’s always in the kitchen asking for seconds.”

NARRATOR: Jungkook’s face turned even redder. He looked like he wanted to disappear into the couch.

JUNGKOOK: (mumbling, embarrassed) “Eomma...”

NARRATOR: Taehyung couldn’t help it. He smiled. A real, genuine smile.

Jungkook caught that smile and quickly looked away, biting his lower lip.

TAEHYUNG’S SISTER: (whispering to Taehyung) “He’s cute, oppa.”

TAEHYUNG: (whispering back, flustered) “Shh!”

NARRATOR: After some time, Mr. Jeon cleared his throat.

MR. JEON: “Perhaps... Taehyung-ssi and Jungkook should talk? Privately? Get to know each other a little?”

MR. KIM: (nodding) “Yes, yes. That’s a good idea.”

NARRATOR: Both families agreed, and suddenly, Taehyung and Jungkook were being ushered toward the balcony.

Alone.

SCENE 4: TAE AND KOOK’S TALK

[SOUND EFFECT: Balcony door sliding, soft wind, distant city sounds]

NARRATOR: The balcony overlooked the city - buildings, lights, life buzzing below. It was so different from Taehyung’s quiet village. But right now, all Taehyung could focus on was the young man standing beside him.

Jungkook fidgeted with his fingers, looking everywhere except at Taehyung.

TAEHYUNG: (gently) “The view is nice.”

JUNGKOOK: (quietly) “Yeah... I come here when I need to think.”

NARRATOR: Silence. But not uncomfortable. Just... new.

Taehyung took a breath.

TAEHYUNG: “I’m... not very good with words. I’m just a simple guy from the village. I work on the farm, help my family. Life is quiet there. Slow.” (pause) “I know Seoul is different. Fast. Exciting. I don’t know if—”

JUNGKOOK: (suddenly bold, looking at him) “Do you... want this? This marriage?”

NARRATOR: Taehyung blinked, surprised by the directness. Jungkook’s eyes were wide, honest, and a little scared.

TAEHYUNG: (honest, warm) “I do. I saw your photo and... I don’t know. I felt something. Like maybe... maybe this could be good.” (soft smile) “What about you?”

NARRATOR: Jungkook’s breath hitched. He looked down, then back up, and for a moment, he looked so vulnerable.

JUNGKOOK: (shy but honest) “I was scared when they showed me your photo. Not because of you! But because... what if you didn’t like me? What if I wasn’t enough?” (pause, softer) “But then I saw you today and... you smiled at me. And I thought... maybe it’ll be okay.”

NARRATOR: Taehyung’s heart squeezed. This boy - no, this man - was so honest, so open. It made Taehyung want to protect him.

TAEHYUNG: (stepping closer, voice gentle) “You’re more than enough, Jungkook. I promise.”

NARRATOR: Jungkook looked up, eyes glossy, and smiled - a real, beautiful smile.

JUNGKOOK: (soft laugh) “You’re really nice. I was worried you’d be... I don’t know, serious and scary.”

TAEHYUNG: (chuckling) “Do I look scary?”

JUNGKOOK: (teasing, playful) “A little! You’re so tall and broad. I thought you’d be all grumpy.”

NARRATOR: Taehyung laughed - a deep, warm sound that made Jungkook’s smile grow bigger.

TAEHYUNG: “I’ll try not to be grumpy then.”

JUNGKOOK: (bold suddenly) “So... you’re okay with this? Marrying me?”

TAEHYUNG: (without hesitation) “Yes. Are you?”

JUNGKOOK: (softly, nodding) “Yes.”

NARRATOR: They stood there, looking at each other, and something shifted. Something clicked into place.

SCENE 5: THE AGREEMENT

[SOUND EFFECT: Balcony door sliding open]

MRS. JEON: (peeking out, excited) “So? How did it go?”

NARRATOR: Taehyung and Jungkook looked at each other and smiled.

TAEHYUNG: “It went well.”

JUNGKOOK: (quietly, blushing) “Really well.”

NARRATOR: The families erupted into smiles and happy chatter. Papers were discussed, dates were considered, and blessings were exchanged.

By the end of the evening, it was decided.

Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook would be married.

MRS. KIM: (tearfully happy) “I’m so happy! Jungkook-ah, welcome to our family!”

MRS. JEON: (hugging Taehyung) “Take care of our Jungkookie, okay?”

TAEHYUNG: (sincere, warm) “I will. I promise.”

NARRATOR: As the Kim family prepared to leave, Jungkook walked them to the door. Before stepping out, Taehyung turned back.

TAEHYUNG: “I’ll see you soon, Jungkook.”

JUNGKOOK: (softly, smiling) “See you soon... Taehyung.”

NARRATOR: And as Taehyung walked away, he looked back one more time.

Jungkook was still standing there, watching him, with that shy smile on his face.

Taehyung’s heart felt full.
