Chapter 1
On a cold Halloween winter’s night, four teenagers had come across an old eerily abandoned manor as they were walking down a street with other houses around them that were also abandoned, and had no lights on so it was like a ghost town. So the teenagers had decided to come back later after the Halloween party and after they dropped their siblings back home, when they later escaped after arguing about going to a Halloween party with the whole school being there, their parents were yelling at them “NO” because they were too young, so later in the evening when their parents had gone to bed, they all had snuck out to go this party and had a great time till it was starting to get past midnight and nearly everyone went home, but when there were some friends left they decided to play a game, Truth or Dare?
Mia was the daredevil, a rebellious child which made a big influence on Jaxson, Sarah and Joel, these four teenagers had all grown up together in a small town called Moe where everyone knew everyone and you could not get away with anything because words and rumours can spread very quickly. As everyone had left this party a few kids decided to stay behind with Mia, Jaxson, Sarah and Joel. Everyone had come to an agreement about playing truth or dare, friend 2 had asked Sarah truth or dare, in which Sarah replied with “Dare”. So friend 2 had dared Sarah to go to the old abandoned manor and stay there the night, but Sarah was scared and didn’t want to do this alone so Sarah had asked her best friends if they wanted to do it with her, in of course their response was “Yes”.
As the evening went on, Sarah, Joel, Jaxson and Mia grabbed flashlights, some food, sleeping bags and all the essentials they would need to be able to last the night, but what they didn’t know was that some spirits come out to play when it is Halloween and everyone is welcome.
The manor had big old wooden doors, with door handles and hinges that were once gold and are now brown, due to the rustic and old feeling with paint fading off the wooden doors. When the four teenagers had arrived, the doors had opened by themselves and everyone started to get scared, deciding whether they should continue with this dare or not but a dare is a dare and you must go through with it otherwise something horrible will happen to you.
So as they went into the manor the doors had slammed shut by themselves and everyone had screamed while Mia had thought she had seen someone in the corner of her eye, she had described this shadow figure to the group but no one believed her.
So without knowing exactly who she is, Mia had secretly explored the manor by herself while the others were clearing some space downstairs and setting everything up. Mia looked in the study room where she had found some old notes and an old diary but as she started to read some things had started to happen like all of a sudden Mia had suddenly felt a bit chilly but there was no windows opened and things started to fly across the room, as she had gone further into the manor Mia had found an old pamper room with an old mirror that was dusty so she tried her best to clean the mirror. As she was cleaning the mirror she had seen the lady again but her eyes were not normal, the lady's eyes were red like the devil.
As these things started to happen Mia had run back to the group screaming, “A Dare is A Dare if we do not go through with this then one of us will die.” Mia had told everyone to keep saying this and keep it going through their heads in case they had gotten scared. But as the night went on things had taken a turn for the worse, the ghosts kept moving things around the house, prank calling through an old broken phone, and little white orbs kept appearing in old photographs.
There was no electricity running through the manor so the teens searched the manor for a candle as, they even looked in their backpacks and as they thought no one could find any Jaxson had come prepared he had yelled out “I found a candle in my backpack” but then Sarah had also found a candle in an old demolished kitchen and she had brought them in to what looked like a loungeroom from what was left.
As the night went on Mia had started to show the rest of the group what she had found when she went exploring, more and more things kept happening so they decided to do a seance to help release these angry trapped ghosts because they were angry that people were in their home, their safe haven but they wanted to escape and leave their home to move on. When the sunrise hit of the morning on the next day, the manor was quiet, not even an eerily feeling as the group had a look around and realised that Sarah had made it through the night and through the dare, as she looked at her friends they all had made it with her, they are stronger together but get weak when they are not around each other.
The morning after, the day had become brighter, the sun was shining and everyone was happy.
