Chapter 1: Nontraditional Setting
It had been a year since Johnny Katz (a Mobian rabbit) had been married to Josh and Mark Hedgehog – the trio were living on the planet Mobius where straight, gay and polygamous marriages were recognized by the Kingdom of Acorn and a few other Mobian countries. Johnny had been living in his apartment with his two husbands – they had their wedding recognized by Princess Sally Acorn who could be a curator of the wedding. The trio slept in bed together with Johnny in the middle.
“Good morning dears” said Johnny as he began to wake up.
Johnny opened his eyes to his two husbands – Josh resting on one end and Mark being on the other. Mark was a white hedgehog with quite messy hair while Josh was more like Sonic the Hedgehog but all red. Johnny was a brown Mobian rabbit, he had to get up for work since he worked as an engineer for Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Robotnik in this form wasn’t the terrible tyrant that he was known but instead employed various Mobians alike it was one of the reasons why Johnny could afford the apartment he was living with Josh and Mark.
“Better get to work, or Snively will write me up” sighed Johnny.
Johnny stretched and yawned – he had no time for fun for the moment with his two husbands. As he got up he headed towards the restroom and took a shower. The shower woke Josh up – he knew that was his cue to head towards the bar that he ran as a manager. Josh would have to wait his turn for the shower – Mark was the lazier one of the trio more laid back than the other two.
“Come on sleepy head” said Josh as he tried to poke at Mark.
Mark did his best trying to get up.
“But I don’t want to go to school” said Mark.
“You’re 20 years old” replied Josh, “you don’t need to go to school.”
Mark soon got out of bed and stretched – Mark had gained most of his income as a social media influencer which is how he met Josh and Johnny. Being in a polygamous relationship got him higher ratings than even imagined across Mobius. Johnny emerged from the shower after he was finished – he kissed Josh in quite an adult manner especially with their tongues.
“Your turn” said Johnny.
“Thanks love” said Josh as he headed towards the shower.
“I guess you’re going to go to work” said Mark.
“I still have time for a kiss before heading off” said Johnny.
Johnny and Mark then locked lips as a way of saying goodbye for the moment. All three previously dated women before they met but nothing worked out. Much to their surprise this was their longest relationship. After the kiss Johnny headed towards the kitchen to retrieve his breakfast before heading off. Johnny arrived at the kitchen and grabbed a quick bagel and some coffee.
“Better get going” thought Johnny as he checked his watch.
Johnny was ready for the day – he headed towards his car parked in the driveway – Josh and Mark had their own vehicles registered to them. Johnny pulled out of the driveway and headed off. He turned on the radio to listen in on the news.
“Today in lovely Mobotropolis, our fearless hero Sonic the Hedgehog stopped some bank robbers today thanks to his speedy work the city is safe, his faithful sidekick Tails the Fox also assisted in the take down of the robbers” said a male reporter’s voice.
Sonic wasn’t fighting Robotnik on this Mobius – but other Mobians instead.
