Really great story!

"It didn't take me long to read, about 2 hours or so give or take, but I really enjoyed this story. Even though it's not that long, all the characters are fleshed out very nicely. They seem like real, believable people. And it's done very organically. There isn't long exposition about each person's back story. We get to learn who they are by what they think, do, and feel. It's like learning who a person is over time, just like in the real world. I don't like it when books throw everything at you all at once, and this doesn't do that. The plot is very fast paced, but never feels rushed. The writing style is very vivid and nuanced. Everything is believable. The ending is very satisfying. There's a bonus part that has nothing to do with the rest of the story. I really liked how detailed the author went into on describing some of the history of this fictional universe. I can easily see this story taking place there. He went on to describe the government and even the calendar they use. Again, nothing to do with the story but I found in interesting."
