Prologue
[Setting: Wentworth Academy. About a week into school starting.]
{12 grade; Maths class}
*Selene's thoughts*
(Though I have an idea as to what my role might truly be in this academy....)
(And they most likely don't even know I can hear everything here....
They call me a mean girl. Yet they don't seem to be able to stop talking bout me like I'm some kind of a school fight. They call it wrong yet can't take their eyes and mind off it... still most likely I'm a villainess in their eyes.)
{The classmates nearby keep whispering.}
Girl1: "Yeah, yeah. She keeps acting like she's better than us. But, did y'all hear about the supposedly cute new guy?"
Girl2: "Ofc. He's like a real hot new topic right now. And I've even seen him...like girl, most people have already too. Turns out not being in school and going to that cafe all the time didn't do you good here."
Girl1: "Whatever. Shut up. That cafe is damn good. Anyways. Heard he's like...nice to even ugly girls."
Girl3: "Ofc hell yeah. He must be so amazing to be like...even remotely nice to them... Though he IS not 6 feet... He's manageable."
Girl1: "I wanna see him too. Y'all better take me to him later."
Girl3: "Hell nahhh I'm calling dibs. Haha"
{As the class ends. Selene Ward grabbed her bag and started walking towards the field for cheerleading practice. Walking through the hallway.
A boy with soft brown hair is talking to his friends in a gentle tone. Then one of his friends taps him and he turns to Selene. And smiles widely while waving at her. He starts walking towards her with a huge smile and his hair bouncing a bit from the walking...i mean technically...sprintimg speed.
Selene stops in her tracks. With an expressionless look.}
I can't deny....)
{Selene smirks ever so slightly.}
(He's not the only one who looks forward to our chit chats.)
