It was a typical summer's day in 1988, a rather perfect day, one may say, but who knew the storm brewing ahead of a perfect little town, and like they always say, all good things come to an end, but at what cost? I presumed the end of an era, but I was far from the truth; it was the end of an era nobody saw coming. The end of the Carrington's, one of the most powerful families on the block, but imagine being so powerful yet the quickest to die. Lingering in the air is a night that will never be forgotten, but the million-dollar question is what happened that night? With all the curiosity in the air, how is nobody dead as yet? Oh, wait, there is! Meet Caroline and Mitchell Carrington, one of the most powerful couples that the town has ever lived to witness, but how long was it going to be until there was a crack or hole in their little golden world, and everything went up in flames? It was the final hours of the day, and the couple had just come home from a charity ball, only to never be seen again without a trace. Their children, Damien and Serena Carrington, had lost their perfect little world in the blink of an eye. And just like that, Willowcrest was never the same, or was it always like that, but nobody knew? With a trail of mystery and maybe blood, it's time to uncover the truth. "Breaking news the investigation of what happened to our golden couple is still under investigation anyone with information is requested to come forward and I'm Racheal Woods and this is it for today and once again it's channel 189." "Turn the damn tv off NOW!!!!", shouted Damien as he could not take it anymore so he spent most of his days drowning himself in alcohol locked in his room when the lights went off otherwise, he seemed so normal that you would not even think that he had just lost his parents and did not know if they were alive or not. "Well,it's on every channel.How is that my problem? "Serena yelled back, frustrated with her older brother's tone. On the inside, she just could not come to terms with what happened in the past week and how fast everything went up in flames trying to figure out did they run away or were their bodies dumped in a ditch somewhere in the world. As much as both the siblings were in agony, they knew what true monsters their parents were and how much lies and manipulation were engraved in the walls of their multi-billion dollar house which was so pretty on the outside yet so deadly where there was a chance to once you stepped in you may never step out again but what was so bad that the siblings lived in so much of darkness?
