Book 1: Prologue

Der Fuchs Bodyguards Investigation

In Las Vegas a crime scene unfolds as a missing urn is being investigated by members of the Der Fuchs Bodyguards. But this wasn’t just any old urn, it was the same urn that Ashley Fromm had picked up herself on one expedition in Alaska within a cave that had caved in years ago. She was certainly upset when she arrived on the scene with the soldiers doing their best trying to comb for evidence.

“What the heck happened?!” cried Ashley. She wasn’t pleased with the broken glass on the floor of the museum. The display where the urn was indeed missing the particular urn.

“Someone must have hacked into the cameras, we have no trace of who could have done it” said a soldier.

Ashley was frustrated with all of this, she was visibly shaken. It was just then the Fisk siblings were going to visit the museum with their friend Summer Obeng.

“What the heck happened here?” asked Manny.

“My latest exhibit gone” said Ashley, “just like that”.

“Well, maybe we can help” said Fanny.

The soldiers all laughed at the Fisk siblings.

“You kids better leave that to us” chuckled one of the soldiers.

It had been nearly a year since the Fisk siblings’ episode with the notorious travel agent Ethan Berg in a time travel scheme. They knew they were old enough to assist.

Red Moon Overhears the Fisk Siblings

The Der Fuchs Bodyguard soldiers continued to laugh at the Fisk siblings, chuckling as they thought they could ever unravel the simplest of mysteries.

“Leave this to the adults” said another soldier to Manny and Fanny.

“But we really can” said Fanny, “we were taken back in time”.

Again more laughter burst out from the soldiers, the laughter got the attention of Red Moon who overheard the young adults try to get attention from the men involved in the investigation to no avail.

“Listen, the soldiers are right, I need professionals to assist me with this” said Ashley.

The Comanche native soon rolled into the scene willing to stick up for the Fisk siblings.

“I see your urn was stolen” said Red Moon.

“We’re busy investigating, no civilians allowed” barked another soldier.

Red Moon ignored the rudeness of the soldiers as he gazed at an image of the stolen urn on his smart phone. The Comanche gasped in shock as he noticed the strange symbols on the urn. This wasn’t just any old urn that Ashley Fromm had thought would unique to be displayed in a museum. It was a witch’s urn!

A Witch ’s Urn?

Red Moon gazed at the photo of the urn and matched it with similar urns that were found all over the world. He noticed similarities with each of these urns had strange markings on each.

“This isn’t just any old urn from a lost civilization” said Red Moon, “it’s a witch’s urn!”

“Oh, a witch’s urn, give us the photo, let us see!” said Fanny.

“Yea” added Summer.

Red Moon showed the images of the urn being similar to others around the world.

“These urns are haunted by the spirits of a witch” continued Red Moon, “whoever stole the urn must have sought the witch’s power for him or herself”.

The soldiers chuckled and laughed at Red Moon’s superstitious beliefs. “Like Ms. Fromm stated, leave it to professionals like us, we will get the culprit or culprits behind it” laughed one soldier.

Red Moon ignored the soldiers again and invited Fanny, Manny and Summer over to his place in Las Vegas.

“We can discuss more of this in private” said Red Moon.

Meanwhile for the Der Fuchs Bodyguards’ investigation, it was inconclusive who’d steal the urn as they didn’t have that many leads. Although Ashley noticed her top volunteer Daphne Chaput was on duty the evening it went missing.

Red Moon ’s Apartment

Red Moon had long suspected the urn Ashley had picked up on the expedition to Alaska was a haunted urn from a forgotten witch

“Whoever wanted to seize the urn wanted the witch’s power” said Red Moon, “if we move fast we can stop it from creating a new coven.”

“Cool, we are going to go after a witch coven!” laughed Fanny.

Red Moon was being serious, these witches he heard were from various folklore stories of the past. Forgotten stories that were passed down from generation to generation.

“The natives of Alaska had warned me of a tale of a wicked witch that wanted to conquer Alaska as her own” continued Red Moon, “she had one major opponent a yeti and a lone adventurer who opposed her.”

The Fisk siblings and their friend Summer were impressed by the story. Red Moon had told the story of a man known as Dow Kern and a yeti who had joined forces together in the fight against the witch. The witch’s name had been forgotten throughout time, as time passed on.

“That is so cool!” said Manny, “We have to find the urn!” “But we need to approach this at a strategic point or it will compromise us all” continued Red Moon.
