Prologue, Beladara

Beladara is a planet that looks like a jewel set inside the Astral Sea: constant twilight, skies braided with slow auroras, and an atmosphere crystallized enough to scatter light like dusted halos. No true night falls here; the world is always rim-lit by prismatic dawns and the planet’s own halo-reflections. Oceans run silver and viscous, mountains carry veins of luminous ore, and vast plateaus host cities carved from living lightsteel.

Beladara is both palace and crucible: beautiful, engineered, unforgiving. The landscape itself has been shaped by Belfadrin craft — floating spires, anchored sky-harbors, and ceremonial scars where the family once tested divine power.

On Beladara there are nearly no other living things outside of the Astral elves and some "lesser species" living on the planet. Beladara carved the outer lands of its planet into pristine grace, in hopes of their god, Ovelo, the Archfey's arrival.

The people of Beladara would eventually come to create it's capital-

Auralis’Than rises upon a continent-sized crystal plateau called Velastra, suspended above a shimmering ocean of molten starlight. From the void below, beams of silver fire strike the plateau’s underside, keeping it eternally afloat — a phenomenon known as Ovelo’s Breath.

The city itself is a labyrinth of radiance and tyranny. Its spires are not merely buildings but living conduits of astral energy, grown from divine quartz that hums faintly with psionic resonance. Streets are paved with mirrored obsidian that reflects both the heavens and the guilty faces of those who walk it. Some of the spires reaching far into the sky, and touching the outer atmosphere.

The lights of the capital are kept together and operational via the lower sector of the city known as the District of Chains, where lesser Astral elves, servants, and captured species labor to maintain the capital’s perfect light. There the lesser astral elves live in poverty, their homes built upon one another, sewage and dim light being the only things they can see.

The district being constantly rained upon via the sewage and the heat from the machines they work on.

In contrast there is the Upper Brass District, a place where the highest of the Astral elves resign. There they maintain the status of the elite and the those most loyal to the Belfadrin family. In this sector there are homes that are the size of whole towers, mansions big enough to contain entire towns. Though the mansions operated more like stations and places of gathering than places of residence.

The streets here were even more pristine than the ones in the main city, lamp posts decorate every street corner. All streets in the upper brass district all lead to the main castle of the Belfadrin family. The head family of the planet, and is one of the most dominate forces within their quadrant of the microcosm, however they are looking to change that.

They're line is a long-spanning branch of elite Astral Elves. They are profound and known to be elegant and powerful warriors. A branch of the elven tradition soaked in a long line of magical and celestial influence. Even going as far back as one of the first lines of the family, being that of a solar. The family has taken a deep dive from its origins however, now being no longer proud blade-wielding warriors, but those who hide in the light and carry a great darkness, a darkness masked in the forever glowing light of, the ArchFey.
