Compelling Story, Professional Editing and Finer Details Needed (First 10 Chapters)

"The story is engaging and fast-paced. However, frequent grammar and technical issues, including tense inconsistencies, awkward phrasing, repetitive adjective use, and unnatural dialogue, disrupt flow and clarity often enough that thorough professional editing is necessary for the narrative’s strengths to fully shine. The story delivers beautifully on the promises made in the blurb, and introduces the central conflict early on. By the end of chapters 9 and 10, the escalation of stakes, unfolding secrets, and character development heighten both human and mythic threats. Character progression, particularly Kael’s moral conflict and willingness to defy authority, adds emotional weight, while side characters like Wrath introduce welcome moral complexity. Early world-building and setting details are sparse, and some dialogue and characterisation, especially for the female protagonist, lack consistency at first, but these elements improve by chapters 9 and 10. Overall, the visually striking and genre-appropriate cover, combined with strong narrative momentum and unfolding mysteries, makes this a compelling read, despite its technical shortcomings."
