Chapter 1
As she opened her eyes in the morning, she knew today was the day which would bring a change in her- to what extent was as yet difficult to anticipate. She spruced herself for the day before setting out for the ward. A new rotation had started today which meant she had to meet a lot of new people. An analysis of the official notification revealed that all her colleagues would new for her- she had come from a different hospital and here she only knew few people she had met during the previous rotations.
After a brief orientation on the first day, she was told that she was part of the group of house officers who had OPD duty today. Henceforth, the group including her should join the PGRs in the OPD.
As she entered the room, Roma could only see a few male seniors sitting across an office table. She chose to sit on a bench in front of the side wall. Among all the new faces was the one she could not have imagined at that point would turn into a core part of her very existence. She could see his side pose from where she was sitting but he radiated the vibes noone ever did. The vibes of strange familiarity and connection. That bare glance had etched on her mind. Nevertheless, it was her first day with these people and she was supposed to act as less interested in knowing a male colleague as possible.
