Prologue — The World of Blessings
In every generation, a select few are born with powers beyond the ordinary — gifts the world callsBlessings. Some control fire, wind, or water; others wield abilities far stranger and rarer still. These Blessed are one in ten million, their lives marked by potential and danger alike. To manage them, the government created a secret organization known as OB — once intended to guide and protect the Blessed, now twisted by corruption into a hidden machine of power, profit, and control, operating in shadows both political and criminal. Among the ordinary masses, another kind of anomaly exists: theVoids. Lacking true powers yet carrying the essence of the Blessed within, they are rare, unnoticed, and desired by OB for reasons even they cannot understand. In this world of fire and shadow, chaos and care walk hand in hand, and one ordinary woman is about to step into a storm that will change everything.
