Summary

The stone carved with the souls of many, it rests like a heartbeat caught in crystal. Its blue is not merely seen. It is felt. Deep and ancient, like the ocean remembering every tear ever shed into it. Driven by its celestial beauty, a child, in his happy years of childhood woke it from its year long slumber. That’s when he hears a loud thud from his kitchen, he rushes, panicked but who could blame a kid for panicking with the scene he had just seen?

Mom

Mo… Mom-?

Did you sli- are you okay mom? I heard a noise so i came down..

Mom? Mom?? What happened why are you on the ground? Is it your health?? I will get your pump- IT WILL BE ALRIGHT, ITS ON THE TABLE RIGHT? MOM I’LL GET IT SO PLEASE GET UP

The little boy tries to reach the top of the table as tears roll down his eyes, he is a little too short to reach it.

“I can’t reach it.. but i have to get it or mom- mom will get sick again!”

he grabbed a chair nearby forgetting that he was holding something in his hands. It fell from his hands and rolled making a clang.

He paid it no mind and got the chair, it was a wooden chair, he could barely lift it between his small arms because he was just seven-years old. He somehow managed to lift the chair near the table and then put it down, he climbed up the chair but as he did the chair struggled to be balanced, he realised that there was something beneath the chair but before he could get down.. the chair fell.

The helpess boy was now on the floor just like his mother. He wanted to help her, but he couldn’t even do something as simple as to grab an inhaler from the top of a table.

As he was struggling to keep himself conscious after hitting his head on the ground, he saw his mother fading away from him and go somewhere far.. far away. Somewhere she couldn’t come back from.. Somewhere she couldn’t call him to eat dinner from. Somewhere he could never reach as long he was alive.

As blood was dripping from his head the little boy saw one last thing before losing his consciousness, a man covered in black with a bag on his shoulder was inside the hallway. He only got a glimpse of it, but that was enough to let him know that the man had broke into his house and was the one responsible for whatever had happened to his mom.

The man in black looked panicked as he threw things around desperately looking for something.

“IT HAS TO BE HERE? DAMN IT WHERE DID THAT WOMAN HIDE IT- IF I DONT FIND IT, IT-it will all be for nothing…”

He then walked into the kitchen where he witnessed what had happened with the kid and his mom, the sight of two people lying on the floor with blood dripping from one, as if they were dead, was too much for him to handle.

He yelled ”What happened here?? I didnt do this! This is not what i wanted!! I couldn’t even get the Sapphire an-and these people! They’re not dead right??GET UP!!”

He rushed to the main door dissapointed, scared and anxious. He then escaped into the cold fog and disappeared with the night.

The neighbours heard the noise in the silent night and came to check, only then was the police and an ambulance called.

The boy woke up to sirens, all alone. He felt like his head could explode any moment from the pain even though he was already treated, he mustered up the courage to ask one of the neighbours what had become of his mom, they told him that she was in the hospital.

But what nobody told him was that she would never come back from the hospital as she was dead.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...
