Chapter 1 -Behind the Door-
It was the night before Halloween and there was a halloween party.
Ethan and his friends Marcus, Caleb, Vivian, Ava, and Sophie went to the Halloween party that was hosted by this guy named Victor at their school.
They are all talking and laughing.
20 minutes later Sophie separated from the group and went to play truth or dare with a group of people.
A girl named Salem asked Sophie “Sophie truth or dare?” Sophie replied after thinking for a few seconds, "Dare, I guess.”
A girl named Margaret whispers into Salem’s ear and Salem chuckles “I dare you to go to the Abandon Ashwood house alone for 30 minutes.”
Victor overheard and said “Wait are you guys daring her to go to the Ashwood house? Guys, that house is dangerous. Forty people went missing because of that house.”
Sophie’s eyes widened “Wait what? Over forty? I’m not going”
Salem laughs “Oh come on Sophie don’t be a wimp just do it”
Sophie got embarrassed and replied “I’m not a wimp I can do it!”
Sophie gets up and leaves the party. She zipped up her jacket and walks to the Ashwood house which is a 15 minute walk.
She arrived at the Ashwood house and walked in.
A cold wind blows through the house as she steps further into the house.
Back at the party an hour passes by and everyone forgot about her.
Two hours later she still wasn’t back and Ethan notices she isn’t anywhere to be seen and brings it up to the group “Hey everyone where’s Sophie? Has anyone seen her?”
Caleb looked around and replied “She probably went home you know how she is when it comes to parties you can say she’s a party pooper.”
Vivian chuckled “That’s true she probably did go home she’s not a party person”
Ethan nodded and everyone went on with their night.
The next day Vivian gets a call in the morning from Sophie’s mom Clarissa, Vivian picks up the phone “Hello? Vivian speaking.”
Clarissa replied with “Hi Vivian this is Clarissa Sophie’s mom, did she sleep over at your house she isn’t home”
Vivian's heart drops and freezes for a few seconds “No.. Sophie isn’t here… She didn’t come home last night?”
Clarissa breath hitches “She’s not with you? I expected her to be with you because you guys are best friends..”
Vivian panics and says “She didn’t get in the car with the group. We all thought she went home in an Uber because we all used Marcus' car to get to the party..”
Vivian hears Clarissa drop the phone and starts crying
“My baby.. She’s gone..”
Vivian grip tightens and speaks up “Mrs. Vex.. Me and our friends can find her,
you can alert the police and I'll tell my parents to keep a look out..”
Clarissa sniffles “Thank you so much Vivian bless your heart.”
Vivian replied “You’re welcome Mrs. Vex be safe.”
