A befitting end
"I can’t say how I feel about the ending. Happy? Not really. Sad? No. Sure, Monroe improved a lot from where we first started. But given that Terry was never allowed a chance to live outside his “chains” until he’d fallen for her, I can’t say if his emotions are truly his or largely influenced by the forced bond. Which is part of what leaves me dissatisfied. Overall, this makes for a good read. Survive, Officer rounds up the story of Terry and Lady Monroe which began two books ago. When a naive officer gets too desperate to solve a case, he finds himself tangled with a powerful witch. Perfect for fans of: - mystery/thriller - paranormal (witches/demons) - dominant FMC - human x witch/demon - adventure "
I love it
"I can’t emphasize enough how much I love this series! This book, in particular, really shows remarkable growth in the characters, especially Lady Monroe, who I absolutely adore. Watching both MCs fall for each other head to toe, and seeing how they were both willing to sacrifice themselves for the other, was beautiful and so satisfying. The ending was exactly what I needed! With short chapters, excellent writing, compelling plots, and a mix of thrilling, kinky, and heartwarming moments, this book was a true pleasure to read from start to finish."
