Chapter 1 Moon and dragon

After the adventurer and the witch have become friends, Blood Moon gives Amelia a beautiful whistle. "If you want to see me, just blow it."

Amelia finds it interesting. When she is 100 meters away from her house, she blows the whistle. Looking back, she sees Blood Moon waving at her in front of the house.

She blows it again at the edge of the forest. After a moment, Blood Moon appears from behind a tree.

"Are you missing me already?"

"Yes, of course! I wish you could explore outside the forest with me."

"I'd love to, but not now."

"I'll be back in a few days. Goodbye!"

"You're welcome anytime."

Amelia wants to blow the whistle again, but holds back — Blood Moon seems reluctant to leave the forest; perhaps she hasn’t left for many years.

As Amelia is walking back to town, thinking about Blood Moon, a deafening roar echoes through the trees.

"Oh no! The dragon!" She quickly hides in the grass.

The sound draws closer, then slowly fades.

"Lucky it didn’t find me. I need to get back to town quickly."

But soon, the sound returns.

Amelia hides again, her heart pounding. This time, the sound heads straight toward her.

"I’ve been spotted!"

She sprints away just as a fireball explodes where she’d been hiding.

"Curses!" Amelia keeps running, just like days before.

Fight the dragon? No chance. Her only hope is to run and pray.

She is racing blindly through the forest, the dragon closing in with every step.

Fire is dancing through the forest—a disaster for every animal and plant.

“Sorry, Moon,” Amelia is whispering, “I know this is your forest, but I’m having no other way to escape.”

To her surprise, someone is hearing her whisper.

“Why aren’t you blowing the whistle?” Blood Moon is asking, suddenly appearing.

“I’m wanting you to be safe. It’s the dragon!”

Amelia is grabbing her hand, ready to flee.

“Don’t worry. I’m here now.”

Blood Moon flicks her magic staff slightly. A sphere of water is shooting forward, meeting the dragon’s fireball mid-air.

Magic is clashing—and exploding.

The dragon is growing even angrier, lunging with jaws wide... just as meteors are streaking across the sky.

Blood Moon is creating a transparent barrier without expression.

"Can we escape successfully?" Amelia is asking. The barrier looks fragile, and she is growing more worried.

A violent clash of strength is happening; the ground is quaking!

Magic hits are surrounding the barrier, but it remains completely unchanged.

"Your magic is so powerful!"

"Should I be killing the dragon, or capturing it as your mount?"

"Follow your will."

She is tapping her magic staff lightly on the ground, and a giant glowing magic circle is appearing at her feet.

As it is completing its form, the earth is trembling violently, and a mighty Chinese dragon made of stone is shattering the ground, answering her call.

Then the stone dragon is charging toward the fire dragon!

The fire dragon is using many magical attacks, but the stone dragon is remaining completely unharmed!

The fire dragon is trying to counterattack with its claws. The stone dragon is ignoring the attacks and is beginning to constrict it.

The fire dragon is struggling in vain. Finally, it is being tightly bound as the stone dragon is turning into real stone, imprisoning it completely.

"It is done."

"Such powerful magic."
