One is three and three is one
—A magical world, a planet Earth unlike anything known to humanity, not only because its advances are different, even though they are years behind what we all know as normal, but also because of a physical change that separates “Normal” people from “Noxos,” a simple derivative that classifies them as beings without magic, ordinary beings, simple beings who do not stand out because they have no greater potential than what is known. But those born with a magical gift already have a place at a magical academy, or not only if they are born with that magic in their soul. These beings are known as “Hybrids,” beings with human and animal parts. They are not like you and me, even if they only have a tail, wings, fangs, or a little fur. they are faster and stronger than a Noxo, as well as being able to fly. If they are lucky enough to be born into a family of mythological hybrids such as dragons, they can choose to use fire, and for this reason, their place is secured in the magic academies according to their continent.
—¿But how did the academies begin? The answer is easy and brief: humans are envious and racist. If you are not like them, you are a demon. It is best that the handful of people who are born with this magical or physical distinction are hidden until they are 10 years old, when they are taken to these academies, these hidden schools where a Noxo would never find them. Currently, there are 12 of these academies in operation, located in different countries and continents, which are:
—South América:
-These are located in Brazil in the Amazon and Chile/Argentina in the remote Andes.
—Central America.
-The academy on this continent is located in Guatemala, in the Petén Jungle.
—North America:
-The academy is located in the US, near Death Valley, and in Canada, in the remote cold.
—Africa:
-The academies are located in South Africa and Morocco.
—Europe:
-The academies are located in Ireland, Germany, and France.
—Asia:
-The academies are located in the cold climates of Russia and the Vietnamese forests.
—With this information, it is easy to understand what happens in the academies, these sanctuaries that protect and seek to maximize the potential of their students. And that’s not all: every year there is a competition, a series of games to find the best academies, their best potions, fighters, and a trophy for the most medals. In addition, each academy has an internal competition between the three groups of students: the Hybrids, the 100% magic students, humans with a soul who can use magic, spells, curses, etc., and last but not least, the Balanced, students with less magical potential, who therefore seek to strengthen their bodies and learn magic to improve them. With this, within each academy there is an internal competition, each teacher, instructor, etc., can award points, and just as they give them, they can take them away. Classes begin on March 6 and end on December 20. It is a friendly race to see who has the upper hand, as well as winning a paid trip somewhere for the holidays.
—With that said, it’s time to give some context to this world. The year is 1898, and the technology is comparable to that of a normal world in at least 1940. Great advances in fewer years—it’s beautiful, isn’t it?
/////------------------------------------------------------------------------/////
—March 4, 1989, the new students travel in two hours. A 10-year-old boy nervously waits for the train that will take him to his academy, the Antü Academy in Germany, the country of conflict and beer, foamy and abundant beer.
—¿Nervous about leaving the nest? —Asks a woman of about 32.
—A little, not much,” —Mumbles the little boy, trying to keep his head up.
—It’s okay to be nervous, we won’t see each other for 10 months, you don’t have to hide anything. —Says the woman, stroking the little boy’s hair a little, trying to calm him down.
—It’s okay, Mom, but what if I can’t make any friends? The lower class is always looked down on by everyone.
—Don’t think negatively. I know you’ll be able to make friends, someone to have fun with, and even if it’s just one person, if they’re kind, they’re worth more than 300 Clack pieces. —The woman smiled a little, listening to the train approaching. It wouldn’t be long before her little one flew the nest.
—I understand. Should I try to stand out?
—You have to be the best, not at everything, but at the most important things. Don’t let evil get you down, even though it’s okay to be afraid, to be terrified. You have to move forward and not get stuck. —I say, hoping that my son won’t suffer in the future. I would hate to be so far away and unable to do anything.
—A few seconds passed since the woman’s last words, the train arrived, the screeching of brakes, the sparks flying.
—Well, it’s time to fly. I wish you the best of luck. Write me letters and don’t forget your mom. —The woman said, taking the boy’s suitcase and taking a few steps toward the entrance. She gave him his ticket, his suitcase, and a kiss on the cheek.
—Goodbye, I promise to send letters every day! —He exclaimed in a loud voice as he was separated from his mother, turning around and going in to find his seat, a window seat, where he put his suitcase at his feet and settled in, looking a little at the landscapes he was leaving behind. He wanted to admire them, since he wouldn’t see them again for a long time.
End of chapter 0.5 (According to me)
In the following chapters, these will be longer; now I did something very brief to give context.
