Tales from the Sorcery Kingdom

The Dragonix festival takes place in the first five days of the Dragonix month. It’s the first month of the Sorcery Kingdom. Dragons and phoenixes are highly appreciated in the kingdom, especially the dragons. Dragons are the representative figures of the kingdom. They have a deep history with the kingdom. In this festival, everyone gathers near the Amber Mountains of Amber Fall City. Sorcerers from other cities also gather here.

The Amber Mountains are the dragons’ home. A vast valley called Phoenix Ring is where sorcerers stay. The valley has many flame trees. Trees with fiery red branches and phoenix wings as leaves. This is the area where most of the phoenixes lived. Many red fire ember nests are found on these trees. Phoenixes make their nests out of fire embers and dragon fire ashes. Many tents are set up there during this season. The tents are made from the shells of dragon eggs and feathers of phoenixes.

In this season, dragons come out often and fly across the sky. Similarly, the wise birds come down from their trees to entertain the guests. Many stalls are set up with food or games. The festival is 10 days long.

On the first day, everyone gathers in the valley. At night, they visit the obsidian lane. An area inside a big cave made of obsidian and has lava on the side. It’s where dragon’s egg lay. Since it’s also the hatching season for dragons, sorcerers gets the opportunity to see baby dragons hatching. On the second day of the season, in the evening, the Royal Celsia family in the Amber stadium have a parade. All the members of the Royal family give a speech or a show. On the third day, Phoenixes gives an exciting show. It’s the only time of the year when phoenixes shed their red yellow feathers and turn blue and purple. The red trees change into navy blue, with the leaves changing into lilac. It’s the most magical sight ever.

On the fourth day, Dragons are available to give the sorcerers a ride in the sky. One dragon can carry ten sorcerers on it’s back with ease. Dragons are wise creatures and to make sure none of them fall from its back they rise their scales on their sides making it like a seat for the sorcerer. On the fifth and final day, Dragon Brawl is played. The most popular and anticipated game of the kingdom. It’s a very dangerous game. Most of the players always return injured. Once the game is over, the King of Dragons has been chosen the King delivers his last speech and the mighty dragon is brought on whom the King rides and the festival comes to an end.
