Prologue – A Fateful Meeting & Characters
Morning rays filtered through the campus trees as students hurried across Madras National College. The old clock tower chimed softly at 9 AM.
Inside the Economics Department, Professor Aravind Raj, 35, adjusted his tie and straightened his notes. Calm, intelligent, respected — he was known for his ability to make even the dullest subjects come alive.
He lived a quiet life with his father, Subramani Iyer, a retired Tamil teacher. The two shared a humble home filled with books, Carnatic music, and coffee-scented mornings.
That day, a new student entered his class — Meenakshi Varadharajan, 20, wearing a pale blue kurti and carrying pain in her eyes. She had lost her parents in a tragic car accident six months ago. Her relatives were already fighting for her inheritance.
Aravind didn’t know then — that the girl sitting silently in the back row would soon change his life as much as he would change hers.
