Enjoying It So Far

"As one of the other reviewers has said, the author seems to have an empathy for the character and has described accurately the feelings (and unjust treatment) of a man facing divorce. He has captured the feelings of loneliness and the despair of losing not only a wife but everything he has worked for over the years. The release of whatever is behind the red door is a good analogy for what may be just in the mind of a man in the position we find the protagonist of this story, I look forward to more chapters."

Compelling

"I loved it. You write so well and effortlessly! Very intrigued to see what happens next. I loudly said ewwww when the creatures many eyes turned to look at Adrian one by one 😂 it reminded me of Monsters Inc and the one interview guy with all those eyes haha. Made me cackle when I googled him to confirm and then I said ewwww again haha. Great job!"

Great Read

"Honestly, I am glad that he divorced a woman who belittled him so much. You have shown the reality side of getting a divorce where people go into a dark hole of not knowing what to do next, ignoring the outside world. I laughed at how he just let the monsters out and they treated him as a long lost friend 🤣 I enjoyed your story very much. "

Gripping read!

"Read in one sitting. I know it’s a short story but I’m a slow reader so for me to read more than a chapter at a time is something. I love the writing and the excellent imagery throughout. The relatable “depths of despair” feelings of the MC Adrian are so palpable and heartbreaking. I think it’s because of the undercurrent of empathy the author seems to have for him. Whether intentional or not, it made me feel it too. And leaving it like that... what has he unleashed upon the world? Like someone in that level of pain so often does, the resignation to addiction as a friend can have an impact with a wider blast radius than they ever imagined. This will haunt me for awhile. I want more. Well done. "
