Pipes hissed loudly as rusted metal cracked beneath the rapid pounding of quick, deliberate steps of boots. Five Soldiers moved as one. Lasguns raised, flashlights skimming corners, above and behind.

The stench of death, rot, smoke, and burning oil stained the stagnant air of the bowels of Orbit station Aquilis Omega; A sister station located on the far eastern fringes of Segmentum Obscurus. It was the lesser of its sibling Aquilis Alpha located close to Segmentum Pacificus; being more of a back up fort to defend against xenos and pirate threats from Imperium Nihils to the far east and Malfuctus to the north.

"Sector 773-K12 is clear. Proceeding to transport station K-6632"

A voice came across the control center vox from one of the soldiers. Servitors scribbling down every word that had been said. It had been two months of the stations defense scouring the stations depths investigating the disappearance of countless merchants, soldiers, and even citizens traversing.

The five Soldiers marched on till they found a blown out hole in the thick, steel walls. One stopped examining how the metal was not torn from explosions but peeled back like hands of ungodly strength peeling a fruit.

"Throne above...thats- not a good sign"

One whispered in disbelief before a thump would meet the back of their helmet; turning to face his fellow soldier whos two bright glowing green eye lens stared hard.

"Head on straight soldier- we got a job to do"

It was short and curt but an order. The soldier couldnt shake the feeling that they should turn around and not look back. The four moved forward and then- reluctantly he followed. Dropping down several feet with thuds, they scanned the dark station with their lights.

Spreading out in a fan formation, they moved slowly. All was quiet save for hissing pipes, gears grinding and the occasional large rat skittering about. Then it happened, dirt and grime stained concrete turned to crimson stained, the stench of corpses and blood washed over them. Lights swung all focusing straight ahead illuminating a sight that made one gag loudly behind their helmet and rebreather, the other nearly collapsing to their knees. Their squad leader with those green lens would raise their melta gun charging it as the others slowly followed with their Las guns.

Infront of them, was several piles of corpses, naked, flayed, their bodies melted and fused together climbing into archs molding around the concrete pillars and archs that once held up the station. Heretical drawings and statues were erect; crude and stained in blood. They would slowly moved forward but only got a few steps in before the countless bodies wreathed, groaned and moaned.

"He is coming, He is coming, He sees us all!, He is coming! He hungers for all, He is coming! He is coming!"

The phrase repeated from all around them. Masses moved in their peripherals as lasguns would turn and fire illuminating corners as their Las shots met only air and walls. One man screamed as the sound of Bones snapping and the wet, sloshing thud of a body being melted in their flashlights.

"Help me! It...hurts...hes...hes...hes eating...me"

A single las shot ranged out putting their squad mate out of their misery.

"We shouldnt had come...We need to go sir...this....this isnt something we..we"

The soldier's voice trailed off as his gut feeling was right yet, his voice faltered as their squad leader turned staring at him, their head titled at an unnatural angle.

"Hear his words- He is coming- for you-for us- for all- From the past he comes! To devour what sent him back. He is coming! He is coming! He is-Go-"

Their squad leader for a moment had regained sanity and said one word. That was all it took for him to turn and haul tail. He didnt look back, he didnt dare to even see if anything followed him as he lept and scrambled back up the ruined wall. It was then the shaking, ear deafening explosion of a Melta gun imploding on itself from overcharging... their leader sacrificed himself, taking the other two with him.

What..what was going on? There was no possible way chaos had started to swallow the station.

"Command center- report report! Incursion! Repeat chaos incur-"

The man's cry was cut short to only distant screaming and lasgun firing..and then static. The servitors scribed down the pleas but those in the command center all stood frozen in fear...chaos...has taken root in the station. The stations Commander moved across the room and would send out a distress signal to the Nexus Three orbital station.

"Nexus three- this is Aquilis Omega! This is dire emergency! Chaos has taken root...we require assistance..."

Static only followed, the commander hit the button again...and again repeating the words. Each time his voice growing more frantic. Again only static.

"No...we cant...go...rally every soldier and every able body on station...well have to face this on our own...God Emperor protect us all"

The commander said as he prayed and then the voices came to them all. Sneering, maddening, a cacophony of countless voice screaming.

"He is coming...from past he comes...he is coming. "

The Commander fell to his knees digging his nails into his balding head till trickles of blood dribbled down. Lips trembled as he repeated the words as if he could not control his own mouth.

"No..no..no..no...not again...he is..coming...he is coming..."
