Chapter 1
Griff
The punching bag swung with every hit I made. I danced around, fists up and hit it over and over again. I was in the zone and getting ready for the first fight of the year.
Christmas had come and gone. New Year was a fucking blast, and I got to kiss the hottest girl I’ve ever laid eyes on. Sarah Hart. An angelic name and an angelic personality. I don’t think the girl could make a proper fist.
I’d soon change that.
But fuck me, could she kiss.
I punched one more time and stepped back, putting my hands on my head, taking deep breaths.
Sarah was one of those girls who didn’t have a bad bone in her body. I watched her save a fucking spider. I would have screamed and squashed that mother fucker. But not my Sarah. Oh no, she scooped it into a glass, and took it outside and told it to stay.
A spider. She told a fucking spider to stay.
I wanted to grab her and yank her into one of the storage cupboards and kiss the hell out of her, but my vision was blocked by Maeve. She smiled widely, and when I looked up, Sarah was gone.
That bitch had cock blocked me.
Not that I didn’t deserve it. I’d been cockblocking her for fun, and now she was getting her own back.
6 months ago, Maeve finally returned home, but she brought her boyfriend's with her. I saw her threaten Shadow and Blaze with a bottle opener. Shadow was impressed, and Blaze, the psycho, looked turned on.
Luckily, she trusted Hawk and me around her men, cause we weren’t threatened. But Maeve was crazy scary, and she knew more about us than we had wanted to know. The girl was like our younger sister, even though we were the same age. The complete opposite of the goddess who was currently on the running machine.
Sarah was just a bundle of joy. Barely scraping 5 feet 2, with wild shoulder-length brown hair. She hated it, but I loved the uncontrollable curls. It reminded me of a lion’s mane, and Maeve warned me not to say it, or I might make her cry. But I had my way around crying girls; I would kiss them until they moaned and forgot why they were crying.
“Hey, lover boy,”
I grunted when a fist hit my stomach, and I looked at Grayson, boyfriend number 3.
“What was that for?”
“Maeve is watching you like a damn hawk,” He muttered. “Please don’t piss her off.”
“I wasn’t doing anything.”
“You were staring at Sarah.”
“And?”
Grayson lifted his eyebrow. “You want to wake up the beast?”
“Fuck no,” I said. “What is her problem anyway? She’s been mean recently.”
“You think I know?” Grayson laughed. “She is like a fire-breathing dragon. I woke her up last night, and she whipped my ass with a sock.”
“Kinky.”
“I know, right?” Grayson grinned.
I liked Grayson. He was a good guy and protected Maeve. We got on well and worked out together. He was good for Maeve. Calix and Asher were good for her, but they couldn’t control her mood swings.
Grayson had a few inches on me, and he helped me train for my upcoming fight. He learnt a lot when he was locked up, and I appreciated the help. He had opened up to me about his time behind bars and how, when he was a teenager, his older brother helped him train. The brother who was currently fighting his 30-year-to-life sentence.
“When are you going to ask her out on a date?” Grayson asked.
“What do you mean?”
“A date. Sarah.”
“Oh,” I rubbed the back of my neck. “No idea. What do you think she would like?”
“You’re asking the wrong guy,” Grayson said. “I’ve never had a girlfriend until Maeve. Maybe dinner?”
“I could do that,” I said. “Or you could find out what things she likes?”
“And risk Maeve telling me off?” Grayson said and thought about it. “Yeah, I can do that. I don’t mind being told off by Maeve.”
“You sicken me,”
“Do I?”
“Not at all,” I sighed and looked over at Sarah again, who was talking to Calix. “Is she avoiding Hawk and me?”
“Why do you ask?”
“She hasn’t been in the same room as us since New Year’s. So a few months?”
“Huh,” Grayson frowned. “Maybe she is stressed. I don’t know, ask her.”
“Maeve might eat me.”
“I’ll handle that. I don’t mind being eaten,” Grayson said and rushed across the gym towards Maeve. He tossed her over his shoulder and marched out.
Pull up your big boy pants, Griff. I took a deep breath and walked over to Sarah. Her eyes widened when she saw me and tried to make a run for it, but I grabbed her hands.
“Why are you avoiding me?”
“I’m not. I don’t avoid people.”
“You can’t look at me, Sarah,” I said. “Have I done something wrong? Have I upset you?”
Sarah shook her head. “No.”
“Then why do you leave every time Hawk or I walk into the room? I’m confused.”
“You haven’t done anything wrong.”
“Then-”
“I’m embarrassed. Okay?”
“Why are you embarrassed?”
“Look at these guys,” Luke said, walking past us. “Lovers’ tiff already.”
I slap the back of Luke’s head and pull Sarah out of the gym. I drag her outside away from watchful eyes, and she shifts foot to foot.
“Are you scared of me?” I asked quietly.
“What? No!”
“Then-”
“I got embarrassed because you and Hawk kiss so freaking well. I felt like I was useless, and then I asked if…” She groaned and covered her face. “After we kissed at New Year’s, I asked if you wanted to come back to my room, and you both said no. I thought…damn, I thought you wanted more, and you said no. I felt…rejected.”
I burst into laughter.
“Why are you laughing? This isn’t funny!”
“Fuck. You’re adorable.” I grinned and pressed her against the wall, leaning down to talk in her ear. “You thought we’d rejected you? Because we said no?”
“Yeah,” She mumbled. "So, you didn't reject me?"
“Far from it, ma chérie,” I said. “We were trying to control ourselves after that kiss you gave us. You kissed us perfectly. You were fucking awesome to kiss. We both had rock-hard cocks. If we had taken up your offer to go back to your room, we might have destroyed you.”
Sarah’s face flushed deeply. “Oh. Well, then, yeah. I guess that explains things.”
“Hawk doesn’t want to rush into things. We don’t want to scare you away, so we said no. It wasn’t rejection. It was more like self-control.” I said, tipping her face up by her chin. “We like you. A lot. But we haven’t had a relationship. Not like the one we want with you. It’s a first for us, so we want to take things slow. Okay?”
“Oh, thank God,” She sighed. “I thought you didn’t like me.”
“I had to jerk off in the shower when I went to bed. My dick was rock hard; it was painful. And that was just from a kiss.”
“I didn’t need to know that.”
“Get used to it, ma chérie.” I chuckled. “I’ve said worse things, and will say worse things.”
“I’m sorry. For avoiding you,” Sarah said, kicking the dirt at her feet.
“Don’t be. Just talk to us. Okay? Hawk has been moping, thinking we did something to upset you,” I said.
“It wasn’t you guys. It was me,” She said. “I’ve had two boyfriends before, but I’m not experienced like you are. I’ve had sex, but-”
“Let’s not talk about the men you’ve been with before, and the girls we have been with. Deal?”
“Deal.”
“Although they do hang around at the clubhouse, and are quite persistent,” I muttered, and she smacked my chest. “They will stay away. Everyone knows we are focused on you. But if someone does say something to you, tell someone. Okay?”
“Got it,”
“Good girl,” I said and nuzzled her throat. “Why do you smell so fucking good?”
“I’d ask you the same thing, but you don’t smell so good right now,”
I laughed. I don’t think I’ve laughed this much around a girl before. Maeve is different, but shit, she had perfect timing. Perfect. She was too fucking perfect, and I was worried Hawk, and I would scare her away because we didn't give a shit about anyone else. I had seen Sarah say sorry to a chair when she bumped into it.
“I was working out. Did you see me? I was trying to show off for you.” I smirked, flexing my muscles.
“Maeve was watching.”
“What is her problem? She’s being mean to everyone.”
Sarah giggled. “Probably on her period,”
“Shit.” I grimace. "She's mean on her period."
“I’m sure her boyfriends can handle it,” She shrugged.
“So while Grayson has her locked in their bedroom,” I said, running my finger along her collarbone. “I can kiss you without worrying Maeve will tear my head off?”
“Yup,”
“Good. Because I’ve been wanting to kiss you again since New Year’s.” I said and crushed my mouth against hers, making her moan.
Fireworks.
I held her face between my hands and kissed her as if my life depended on it. She had gasped the first time I’d kissed her, obviously not used to kissing men with a tongue piercing. But kissing her felt like the first time all over again.
I couldn’t get enough of this woman, and by the way her hands crawled up my chest and to my neck, she felt the same. I wanted to grab her hips and wrap her legs around my waist and pin her to the wall. But I wasn’t sure if she was into that kinda shit, so I just held her face.
My dick was fighting to break out of my shorts the more we kissed.
A throat cleared, and Sarah screamed into my mouth, making me laugh. She tried to step away from me but banged the back of her head on the wall, making her yelp.
“Shit, are you okay?” I asked, rubbing her head. “Are you hurt?”
“Embarrassed.”
“Didn’t want to invite me?” Hawk asked, walking over to her. He lifted her face and kissed her hard. “Well?”
“I’m sorry for avoiding you!” She blurted out. “I was embarrassed and-”
“Felt rejected?” Hawk tilted his head. “Yeah. It was obvious. But we didn’t reject you. I didn’t want to go back to your bedroom and destroy your pretty little pussy before we worked you up to taking us both at the same time.”
“Jesus, Hawk. Let her fucking breathe.” I said.
“What? I was being honest.”
“You made her look like a tomato,” I said, pointing out the deep red blush on her face that was slowly going down her neck.
“I wonder if your whole body blushes,” Hawk smirked. “Can’t wait to find out.”
“Holy crap,” She cleared her throat.
“As much as I want to kiss the hell out of you, we have a meeting to get to,” Hawk sighed dramatically. “We’ve been waiting for you, Griff.”
“Oops,” I grinned.
“Put a shirt on and tuck your dick into the waistband of your shorts,” He said, gesturing to my rock-hard dick. “I don’t think Ralph wants to see your monster cock.”
“Everyone has seen my monster cock,” I said, and Sarah gasped. “Oh, shit. It was a drunken dare.”
“He was dared to whip it out and make it swing around like a-ugh!” Hawk doubled over as I punched him in the stomach.
“See you soon, ma chérie,” I said, dragging Hawk after me.
Hawk was wheezing as we reached the meeting room, and Ralph lifted an eyebrow at my lack of attire. He rolled his eyes and got on with the meeting.
