1 - Midnight blue

“God, keep clenching and I'll bust in your cunt,” Levian grits, pulling out of me and thrusting roughly.

“Levi,” my fingers tremble as I clutch onto the soft sheets.

I’m at my limits.

Four orgasms in the span of an hour and I can feel the fifth building in my core about to burst out of me like an uncontrollable flow of a wild river.

Levian is insatiable. One of the things I like about him.

But right now…

I feel…

I feel….

“My,” he leans, biting my shoulder and drawing a whimper from my throat.

"Good,” he pulls all the way out.

“Fucking,” slams in till the hilt.

“Girl,” his fingers dig into my hip as warm liquid spurs inside me while I lose myself.

My legs trembling around him, my core spasming, throbbing and clenching with utter pleasure. There are stars bursting in front of my eyes and my mind is a mush.

That’s what Levian does to me.

He doesn’t just fucks my body.

He alters my brain chemistry.

He places an open mouthed kiss over his favourite spot, that is, my collar bone and looks at me, with those dazed emerald eyes.

I can’t… I can't even think it out loud or admit it… I’m falling for my childhood friend, my best friend… I did not know I would face this disaster when I proposed to him to be friends with benefits.

We’re here for Kaine’s 30th birthday.

He’s my cousin’s best friend and neighbour. Just like Levian and I are.

They live two streets away from our house, pretty close but we don’t meet as often.

When we were kids we used to meet every day to play. Someday at my house, someday at Levi’s and some days at the other two’s place.

We became quite a cluster since we were together since childhood.

Yet it was different with Levi. He and I were inseparable. Well, I was the one clinging to him while he looked like he didn’t like it. He'd still find me when I didn't cling onto him like usual.

Now, If my parents saw Levi come out of my room at midnight, they’d not ask anything. Thinking we’re having an usual innocent sleepover like we used to when we were 10.

Talking about my parents, they think it’s time for me to get married and settle down. They think I don't earn much as I don't go out and spend most of my time in my room looking at the PC for hours.

Well, I’m a freelancer.

A freelance Academic content creator and a graphic designer.

Although the former can almost be considered as my full time job for now, and the latter depends on the clients and the projects they propose.

My parents are adamant, a trait I have inherited from them.

They want me to meet this guy, Ren.

A french actor and also congressman Alistar’s son.

I’ve seen his movies, he’s the most talented and popular actor in Europe.

In fact, he was the one who contacted me on my instagram from an account with a sketchy name. Yeah, I replied and we talked for a while before I told him about not having any intention of marrying him.

Because why would someone like him want to marry a nobody like me?

Although I’ve moved on, my parents and Skylar have taken my refusal as a challenge and are testing the waters every now and then.

Enough about the drama of my life.

I shrug as Levi walks up to me, his gaze lingering on my midnight blue mini dress, studded with rhinestones that fade up to the borders, the dress sticks to my body and enhances all the right places of my body.

Levi’s right eye twitches and his jaw tightens as he looks at my legs.

His dress shirt matches his eye color and hugs his body tight, the fabric on his bicep strains as he moves his hand up to run his fingers through the hair. The black slacks look posh along with the polished black shoes.

“Did not know this is a costume party and we were supposed to dress like strippers.”

“Shut up, Levi. Just tell me I look sexy and get over it,” I snarl, pushing off him.

He follows, his rough palm wrapping around my arm as he turns me and pulls me flush against his body.

His muscles flex under my body and i suck in heavily.

“Stay by my side and don’t cause any trouble or you know what happens,” he grits, his mouth closing tightly as he clenches his jaw.

As we walk in I search for familiar faces. Or may I say the ones that are of my age unlike the hot old man who’s policing me around.

Levi is three years older than me, while two years older than Kaine and Riley.

Our attention rolls to the left side of the hall as Riley, my cousin, calls out my name and squeals with joy while waving.

Levi gives me a stern look, reminding me of his warning and I run waving at my cousin.

“Rosie, god, where were you?”

“Oh, I was working on the new project and snoozed my alarm just about twelve times, so don’t blame me, blame my alarm for not waking me up the first time.” I give her a cheeky grin and she catches my cheek, squeezing it lightly.

Well, I lied. Levian had told me to wait for him.

“Kaine is up, sulking because you were not the first one to arrive at his party.” She shakes her head while pouring a drink for me.

My spine straightens immediately when I feel Levi’s cold presence behind my back.

“I’d better go and wish, Kaine, before he gets busy being the centre of attraction.”

“I’ll accompany you,” Levi follows but I freeze, hiking a hand on my hip.

He stares at me without backing off and I stare back at him. Unbothered, Riley just continues pouring drinks in the disposable cups.

“Don’t you get paid enough as a brain surgeon that you’re thinking of extorting money from my parents for babysitting me.”

“Watch that mouth,” he steps forward, towering over me. “You have no business being alone with a grown ass man.”

His words always make me lose my mind and he’s aware of his powers.

My nails dig into my palm as I stare up at him, trying not to talk back because I don't trust him. I know he’s not the type to do something in a place filled with unknown faces, and although I love riling him up now is not the time.

“Kaine is our friend, remember?”

“I was your friend too, remember?” His breath fans across my cheeks as he whispers.

“You’re my best friend, even now,” I whisper, “just because we fuck doesn’t mean you’re not my best friend anymore."

Oh yeah, I hit a nerve. I was not supposed to but he made me do that.

At least that made him step aside, making a way for me to go meet Kaine.

I stroll past the crowd that whispers among themselves, talking about the party and the gossip that I’m least interested in, for now.

Kaine is not the type to sulk, he’s good at comforting and the kind you could rely on in any situation. The type who’d do anything for his loved ones.

I’m worried about him because, recently he’s been working overtime and staying away from home. As if he’s trying to ignore something.

“Kai,” I knock on his door and wait before beginning to knock again but the door opens revealing Kai in a thick white towel around his waist.

The silver chain i gifted him last year dangles around his neck, Water drips down his hair drenching his shoulder and chest. He stepped out of shower just now.

He narrows his eyes at me and opens the door wide, inviting me in.

As soon as I step in he starts, “Oh, look who got some time to blink in my direction.”

“Oh, look at the 30 year old baby sulking,” i tease trying to get a smile out of him.

He looks away, closing the door and probably biting down a wide grin.

A blue silky shirt and grey trousers are laid out on his bed which he grabs striding towards the mirror beside his bed.

“Admit it, your’re late because of Levian,” he accuses me with certainity that makes my bone tatter.

He maybe partially right. Levian called me earlier to tell me not to go alone. Later he told me there was an urgent meeting so he’s running late. I thought it was a cue for me to go alone, that's why I showed up alone but then I met Levi near the gate.

“Why do you think so?” I ask, sitting on the bed and watching him button up his shirt.

Kai looks at me through the mirror, his gaze stern and suspicious.

His jaw is locked as he continues buttoning down.

Without any hesitation he drops the towel and I look away.

“Why are you acting like you’ve never seen me naked,” he scoffs as I hear the sound of his zipper.

We used to take baths in the tub during summer but we were kids back then. This is different now.

“Don’t change the subject, Kai.” I fold my arms in front my chest and his gaze drops in the mirror and I tilt my head.

“You guys are dating?”

Again. He just keeps doing this.

“No, now answer my question.”

I stand on my heels, walking up to him and fixing his collar.

His hair is still damp so I move away from him to fetch a towel to dry his hair.

“I saw you guys standing near the gate, it looked like he doesn’t respect your personal space.”

Says the person standing inches away from my ass.

He’s always been known for being the one with light feet, a pro at hide and seek since childhood.

I turn, lifting my chin up to meet his gaze.

Pushing the towel on his chest I decide to walk away but he holds my hand as soon as it touches his chest.

He leans, our breath mingling, my senses being clouded with his scent of his lavender bodywash. “You can be honest with me Rosy,” his husky words crash onto my mouth and my lips part.

A loud knock on the door gives me a chance to break away from his clutch. Pushing him I walk to the door but he follows. His palm wraps around my wrist while my palm wraps around the knob.

“Won’t you wish me in person Rosy,” he rasps.

I look over my shoulder and my breath hitches when I find his face just a breath away from mine.

“Happy birthday, Kai.”

The next knock comes as a thud to my chest as Kai places a kiss on the corner of my lips.

His action was sudden and my reflexes act on it, my elbow jabs into his rib and he steps back wincing in pain.

“Rose, open the door,” The voice is low, almost threatening.

Without a thought I twist the knob and there he is glaring, jaw clenched, hands rolled into fists by his sides and eyes shaking in rage.

“What?” I raise my brow at Levi and he pushes the door open to find Kai standing in the corner.

There’s a moment of coldness that sends shivers down my spine. Kai and Levi share a look and before I can say anything Levi yanks me out of Kai’s room.

“What’s wrong with you, Levi,” I try to get my hand out of his grip but his hand just tightens around my wrist.

He doesn’t bother to look in my direction or stop. Dragging me down the hallway.

That’s not the way to the ground floor, where is he even taking me.

“Levi,” my voice louder than earlier.

He pushes me against the door of the guest room. It is the room where Riley and I used to stay during sleepovers.

“What did I tell you rose? What did I tell you earlier?”

“To not cause any trouble.”

“Yeah rose, and?” He moves a strand of stray hair from my face then grazes my cheeks. My heart bubbles with multiple emotions and it bursts releasing a thousand butterflies down my stomach as Kai hooks his finger below my chin and lifts it to meet his gaze. “And what did I tell you, huh?”

“To- To stay by your side,” I stutter.

“And Rose, what did you do baby?”

The butterflies in my stomach go wild, fluttering everywhere, tumbling and crashing.

I swallow, my face still tipped higher staring into his dark gaze.

“See, you eyes say it all, you’re guilty and you better be prepared for what’s about to come.”

He twists the knob on the door but I lift my hands, holding his shirt, clutching like my life depends on it.

“Levi, not here,” I try. Something shines into his eyes and he leans forward.

“do you think you’re in the position to negotiate?” His words rough, his eyes merciless.

I shake my head, but refusing to accept my defeat, I still hold onto his shirt, keeping some distance between us.

“Then let me check.”

Check? Check what?

My eyes widen as his hand moves from the knob to my waist and then down playing with the hem of my dress.

“Anyone could walk up and see us, Levi.”

“Are you worried about a random person seeing us or about a certain someone seeing my fingers being drenched by your wet cunt?”

His finger plays with my lace panty sliding it to the side as he runs the back of his finger over my slits.

My knuckles start to go pale from the force I've been putting in holding his shirt.

“See, you’re dripping and ready to be fucked.”

He thrusts a finger without warning and a moan rips out of my mouth. I let go of his shirt to cover my mouth.

“Let’s suffer together rose, let’s burn together,” pressing a tentative kiss on my lip he pulls his finger out. “It pains me not to give you what you want but for now this is your punishment.”

He pulls his handkerchief out of his pocket and wipes his finger clean with it. Then he brings it between my legs wiping my wetness and I bite my bottom lip when the fabric grazes my clit.

What we have is not serious, but there are little things, little details which felt heartwarming.

Yeah, there were some dirty things that made me feel happy. Like him licking his fingers after finger fucking me.

Something cracked in me when he wiped his finger on a piece of cloth.

“Why do you have to be a prick everytime Levi?”

I push him away, rushing down the hall and hastily fixing my dress.

I hate him.
