Chapter 1 CHASING THE SUNSET
I was his shadow following him wherever he went
wasted my breaths on the upturn of his lips
swaying my world a little everytime he would do that
bastard knew how it would affect me
made sure i worked every penny for that
only then would he grace me with that rare event
Love sick chick thought of it as a loving gesture
not knowing the aftermath of this passionate rouse
how she would crave the hit once its taken away from her
Like an addict, crying shouting begging for one more shot
the room that was her heaven is now her new prison
now she is serving her term for being brazen
not even 10 years of rehabilitation would help
his drug has found a home in her veins
free falling from the grace she found herself on barren land
he was no where around except in her overdriven mind
her mother had warned her that this would be her downfall
she thought the love that she had for him
would be enough to help her sail through the terrors
it took her alot of sufferings to know loving and respecting herself is the key
to the happy life that she could not yet see
her mother is helping her build new dreams
walking hand in hand on the golden beach
just another sunday evening of her new life
together they run with the wind
chasing the sunset to the hill.
