The one way out
I arrived at the alley on-site street expecting someone from my ex-enemies, the family, and the crown mafia to help me escape my past as Mercury, next in line for the solar mafia. Suddenly, I felt the presence of someone, but my reactions were too slow next thing I knew, I woke up in a room with a lady sitting in front of me. There she was, the one they referred to as the evil queen, sitting in her chair with women putting her makeup on for her. “No need to stare, new kid.” “Kneel,” someone much taller than me said behind me and forced my head down to a bow then the the lady said with a grin and head turned to the side “The name’s Maggie and my darling wife behind you is Amara I’m guessing you’re the traitor to the solar mafia” I nod my head “I expected better to be honest I mean you were the next for the solar leader, were you not? Should’d you have, I don’t know a bit more…” She paused, looking for the word, while I tried to change the subject “So the family will keep me protected from the solar mafia, is that correct?” “Well, I’m not the one to answer that… They are” Three men enter the room, the co-owners and their assistant. The two leaders, Ywi and Coy, sit next to Maggie, while their assistant stands next to them and gives me a small knowing look that no one else seems to notice, opening his book, quill at the ready. The servants, who were doing Maggie’s makeup, leave the room. “So you seek help from the enemy?” The co-leader, Ywi, aka Thorn, said as he crossed his legs, “Well-” before I could finish my sentence, we all heard a big boom, and what sounded like two kids laughing. The assistant dashed out of the room while Ywi had a horrifying look on his face. When the assistant came back, he was dragging two people behind him, one of them I knew as the wild fool, Bella, who often makes trouble for everyone, especially the solar mafia, and the other was a girl dressed in starry patterns and what looked like school robes. They smiled with ash and dirt on themselves but also looked horrified by Ywi’s look “Now, which one of you is gonna give us an explanation…” said Coy before the owners could tell off the two kids Maggie stepped in front of them “why don’t we just let them get their punishment already how about a mission” “NO Bright will not be putting her life on the line for the mafia if I had it my way she wouldn’t even be a part of it” said Ywi Bright look down at that “oh please it’s just a simple mission no one to kill or get in their way and your assistant and the new kid could go with them how’s that sound? Your assistant can make sure the new kid is legit and keep the kids from blowing up the place.” Maggie had said. Ywi took a look at his assistant and the kids, then at me. “Fine, fine,” he says, waving his hand in the air. Then he goes to his assistant and whispers something into his ear. The assistant gives him a nod and clicks at us to follow him.
