Lonely Boy
For some, life is about making money; for others, it’s about love, career, or fame. But imagine a person who has no goals, no love, no money, and no happiness. Though it may sound strange at first, none of these things existed for Lucien. He was like a living corpse.
Losing his parents in a car accident when he was a child, and later the death of the girl he deeply loved, struck him hard. The only person who still meant something to him was his aunt — the woman who took him in after his family’s death. Yet fate was merciless once again; on Lucien’s 20th birthday, he lost his aunt too.
From that day on, life had no meaning or value for him. He had no reason to love, to live, or to smile. Lucien, who had never touched a cigarette before, lit his first one that very day. Even at the restaurant where he worked, everything began to feel meaningless. It was as if life itself was pressing down on him with all its weight.
