Chapter 1
Sitting in class for Human Anatomy is boring, and listening to my best friend talking about her child-like boyfriend is even more, considering I’ve told her countless times to break up with him.
Looking at the clock strike at 11 a.m., I tell my bestie bye and bolt out of the class.
Getting home is the best feeling, looking at the cottage mansion always makes me happy.
“We have guests”, thinking to myself as I looked at a black Lamborghini Urus.
Walking into the house, I heard my father’s voice and his best friend's. They were talking about a missing supply and a threat to my life.
I’m not scared, considering my father has been training me since I was 16. However, that doesn’t stop me from going to dances or college.
“Ava, come here. I have something important to tell you.” My father says looking serious with that look in his eyes.
Sitting next to my dad, I look over at Austin. He has always been the most beautiful man I’ve ever seen, with his whole body covered in tattoos and his dark features. I have always wanted to touch his black and gray beard.
“ You will be going to Italy, to live with Austin”. I frown looking at him. “Is this because of the threat, I heard you two talking?”
I don’t have a problem living with him, but that doesn’t mean I want to. “I don’t want to live with him, I can take care of myself”. I said looking at my father with a look that could kill him. I marched upstairs and laid on my comfy sheets.
There’s a knock on my door, I look up and see Austin looking at me. “Your dad loves you more than anything in this world, he is just taking precautions for your safety”.
Sitting on the private jet, looking at the view out the window. A voice disrupts me.
“There are a couple of rules you must follow. No drinking, leaving the house without a bodyguard or me, and no going to the basement level.”
Austin says with a mean look. When we reached the house, the driver pulled to the front of the driveway.
His house is a log mansion in the mountains. Looking around, the inside of his house is modern-looking like a woman decorated it.
“My mother decorated the house for me.” He says looking at me with his dark black-like eyes. “ Your room is upstairs, first door on the right. If you need anything, my room is right next to yours.” Austin says walking down the hall to his office.
