Chapter 1: The new world
The world had barely recovered from the last viral outbreak when something even stranger began to unfold. Life seemed to return to normal until that Sunday morning.
Across the globe, people looked up to see a strange green cloud drifting in the sky. It shimmered faintly, unlike any weather pattern ever recorded. Scientists everywhere rushed to study it, calling it the first phenomenon of its kind in human history.
The cloud looked smoky, almost alive. In Bay City, the sheriff held a public address, assuring citizens that there was no cause for panic. “It’s an unusual occurrence,” he said, “but it’s under control and being monitored closely.”
Yet, within a month, similar reports began to surface from around the world. The same mysterious green clouds appeared hovering motionless over more than 3,000 countries. Authorities ordered mass evacuations in affected regions for observation and safety. Airplanes were banned from flying through the strange zones.
The world had changed again only this time, no one could say what was coming next.
